TXR is literally what I would do irl if there were no consequences. It's simply peak. Play it with a wheel, shifter and h brake and you forget real quickly that its an arcade racer

Even without racing, its so cool to drive these expressways IRL, especially the Rainbow Bridge. Did that a year ago in a Levorg STI Sport rental, feels quite accurate to this game, this model is quite common there haha -Michel

That is exactly how I feel! My only gripe is my MOZA R16 has no force feedback, but the game is satisfying as hell to play on a wheel!

/\ this! and this is also why it doesn't feel grindy to me. Put myself in the headspace that this is what I'd do if I had no consequences or responsibilities and all I needed to do is go out and race to make money to poar into my car? Yeah give me that juice!

@@Eh_Nope not going to say I’ve done exactly what this game shows irl, but I CAN say that it is a pretty fun thing to do. Just don’t do it around traffic.

They made a special game for a special audience without trying to please everyone.

I think Genki proved you don't need to automatically add multiplayer and sim physics every game, for it to be good, I think this formula has hurt other titles that have been revived.

    They made a good game.

Yep, but not all of it is obvious when you didn't try it. So we aimed this at people who still have not decided if it's for them and explain what fuels the fascination. -Michel

One reason AAA has moved away from arcade racing games is they can't monetize them as much as other genres. You'd think, cynically, racing games would be the perfect genre to use predatory monetization (cars, tracks, engine upgrades, body kits, etc.), but the amount of development that goes into all of that wouldn't be worth it since racing games are still a niche genre compared to shooters, action adventure games, etc. I also think it's because there's a whole generation (or more) who started with arcade games like Burnout, or NFS, and have moved on to sims, but... There's no younger generation coming in to take their place since AAA arcade racing games aren't being produced. It's a Catch-22, but a very real thing if you look at the racing genre as a whole, and where it's come from since the early 2000s to present & who's playing.

You forgot to mention that with UEVR mod, this game works INCREDIBLE in VR and looks amazing. Easily one of my fav games ever now

Very true words about how fewer cars in the garage = more appreciation for each one individually. Currently, I'm driving a small Honda City in TXRD2 and I'm more attached to it than to the two hundred cars I have in Forza Horizon 4 :) Thanks for the video, peaceful sky to you!

Im new to TXR and picked this one up on lunch day. I love it. It needs more soundtracks DESPERATELY but everything else is really well done. It even plays awesome on steam deck at low settings 900p

Really looking forward for its Full Release especially knowing that it looks like it's gonna add more, more cars to the mix including favorites from various eras. Genki was really out there and actually said "It's been a long time coming", and even after all these years it's still the same TXR people know and love.
Has to be the best purchase I've made, and it has to be a legit 2025 Game of the Year contender.

Its fun! I actually got called "cringe and weird" by a Forza Streamer, because I still need 20 Mio Yen and 200 Kilometers for beating the last 2 Wanderers - I do it BECAUSE ITS FUN!

Also, I hope this gets a console port. I want it on my PS5 for sofa play. My PC is on my sim racing rig and this doesn't seem that kinda game.

@@OverTake_gg it's doable, a bit pain to do at first since you need to sort of figure out which folder it's located on (for Steam Deck) but once you get the hang of hoe compatdata works it should be a breeze to do
still a pain to do if you play on both PC and Steam Deck as you have to constantly send the files back and forth

What do you recommend for an 8 year old boy who currently drives real goat carts ?
Would you recommend GT7 with only controller to keep costs down?
Thank you and great videos, I’ve learned much from you channel

Hey mate, I'd say if you want to further unlock his racing talents, get a used Thrustmaster T300 or Logitech G29 for like $200 and see if he enjoys it. But to learn some basics about racing and the layout of tracks, GT7 with a controller sounds like a plan! -Michel

Probably your closest farm as the one near me has fantastic goats, some are goat carts, some are goat boards and even a few goat boats. There's this awesome guy there too, many just call him the goat, but it's funny as he doesn't at all look like a goat so I don't get it.
Keep him on that goat cart though, he'll be a farmer for sure!!!

I’m looking for Cinderella now. And yea it’s really fun. Seems basic but it’s a nice grind. So much to do if you don’t cheat your way through it. But also fun if you do use cheats. I haven’t used cheats yet and taking my time with it. I also have a video for people who can’t seem to get their wheel working right on my channel.

It's quite the relax and chill racing that doesn't get one sweaty for sue, and the easy pick up and put down i right on the money, steamdeck is perfect. If multiplayer racing suddenly appears from the parking area late one night, it will certainly make for great silly racing good time fun.

Big up the Soul Red Miata/MX5, best car (not at all biased). Em, I think you need to tighten up your seat mounts ;)
