Jeuveau | Jeuveau vs. Botox split face study

  • With 4 neurotoxins on the market how do you decide which one to choose?
    2 of the most common questions people have regarding Botulinum toxins are:
    1) When does it kick in?
    2) How long does it last?
    In this video we did a split face study in which we treated a model with Botox to one side of his face and Jeuveau (#newtox) to the other side of his face, using the same amount of units (same dosage) on either side. We followed him out over the next few days to see which toxin kicked in sooner and assessed him every month to see how long his results lasted.
    When it comes to neurotoxins, PERCEPTION VS. REALITY are not always the same with regards to how long treatments last. This is why it’s so important to have evidence based photos.
    * Disclaimer: Emily Dowe, PA-C is NOT sponsored or endorsed by either company that makes Botox or Jeuveau -so we leave the bias out.
    The purpose of doing this head-to-head study is to compare the 2 neurotoxins so that you can make more informed decisions on deciding which toxin is right for you.
    Also discussed is the company history of Evolus, the makers of Jeuveau, as well as any advantages or disadvantages of using either toxin.
    We are in the process of doing another split face study but this time we are going head-to-head with Botox vs. Dysport.

    Oh I love this video thank you for the clarification I just started using Nabota and I’m looking for all of the info that I can find I just posted a comment asking if you would make some videos about 01 to 100 ratio dilution for Botox or Nabota I’m very interested in using a higher concentrated toxing but I wonder what areas it would be not at all beneficial to use this type of ratio
    that would be most helpful

    With absolutely no shade to this gentleman or anyone who is getting Botox (including me lol) because anyone does whatever they choose the thing I noticed is that even though Botox/Dysport relaxes the wrinkles it doesn't really make someone look younger or better really. Have you noticed that? I also notice that neurotoxin around the eyes creates like a shelf look. The cheek goes up and almost like bunches up and next to the eye area looks motionless. For that reason I usually had only the top area of the crows feet injected. I still had wrinkles around the eye but the top of the eyelid would not droop so much. Anyone noticed that?
    I do love and appreciate the video, loved the comparison. Thank you!

      Glad you appreciate the video! I actually think this gentleman enhanced his look because his skin looks smoother and more refreshed after he gets treated with neuromodulators. I do find that my patients who wrinkle a lot, those with creepy skin, I feel neuromodulators really enhance their look! Especially for blondes, because their skin is usually a lot more sensitive to UV radiation and they tend to wrinkle more. However you are right in thinking it doesn’t enhance other ppl’s look in the same way! Every patient I treat, I’ll have my favorite treatments that I think really enhances their look more than other things. Ex: Chin filer for some can really make a huge difference whereas lip filler for another person was the top treatment to make the biggest difference for them.
      Yes I have had patients that don’t like their crows feet done because they feel it effects their smile. I actually know of 2 injectors that don’t treat crows feet because they feel that at a certain age ppl should have crows feet. As for me, I hate crows feet and I treat mine. Everyone has a difference in opinion on crows feet. I think most ppl, including myself feel like wrinkles around the eyes can really age a person.

    Hi I was wondering if you could maybe do a video or two on the benefits of diluting your toxin as a 1 to 100 mL ratio where it would be best to use that dilution in the face and where it wouldn’t be great to use I was wanting an easier dilution method to know exactly how much I was putting in each area but it’s difficult to find any videos about this the benefits of doing it this way and and the person that it would be best used for.

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi April. I’m not sure I understand your question. With neurotoxins used for cosmetics it’s typically recommended to use a 1 or 4mL dilution for reconstitution. Not sure what you mean by 100mL. Do you inject?

  • @alternative6280
    @alternative6280 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I just get small amounts in my forehead for cosmetic purposes to even out my appearance since I get Botox for migraines. My last injections were Jeuveau and I’m liking the results. Seemed to work faster and hoping it continues to last.
    For financial reasons, though, I’m switching back to Botox. With Alle, their rewards program, each treatment gives you $20 off your next visit- no minimum units. Tried to use the $40 Jeuveau welcome reward and was told you need at least 20 units.

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Oh this is very interesting I didn’t know that Jeauveau had a rewards program. Alle’s rewards program is probably the best because you can now get rewards sooner than 90 days (as opposed to Aspire w/ Dypsort). Also Alle offerers the most gift cards where you can save even more and get double points on certain weeks. Alle will be doing a Black Friday gift card deal around Thanksgiving again this year and they usually run another one in May around Mother’s Day.

    Have you heard of cryoneuromodulation? Iovera is one of them and it’s available in the UK. It’s approved in Canada too but I can’t find any practitioner. It freezes the muscle so it doesn’t use any toxin. I’ve been wanting to get Botox but I’m so afraid of the side effects from Botox that I’ve heard online.

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not heard of it. It probably would not last long and is probably not very practical which may be why you have not found any practitioner to offer it. What side effects are you afraid of with injectable neuromodulators?

  • @Dara-ub9ol

    10 units of Botox doesn’t do a much for my eyes lately it used to and Dysport also doesn’t work very well for my eyes anymore. I wonder if built up a tolerance and I wonder if this “ newtox” would work for me.

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you truly built up a tolerance it would likely be because you have neutralizing antibodies and I don’t think any toxin would work for you. This is extremely rare! A lot of times ppl think that their neuromodulators stopped working and they have just gotten so used to looking smooth that they forget how they looked before. Also toxin won’t take care of the very lateral wrinkles that form when smiling when your upper cheek lifts. Have yo looked at your before and after photos?

    • @Dara-ub9ol
      @Dara-ub9ol 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NaturalInjector it works in every other area on my face just not around my eyes anymore ( it used to) I get 10 units for each eye and I see very little improvement and it’s gone in just a few weeks but lasts very long in other parts of my face. Been getting Botox since it first came out and I know what it used to look like when it kicked in , it just never really kicks in anymore. Do you think I need 15 units in each eye?

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dara-ub9ol If it works in other areas of your face it would not be a tolerance because it wouldn’t work in those other areas also. 10 units is a good amount, sometimes I go up to 12 units around each. Also are you sure you’re not referring to the lines that are lateral to the crows feet, from your cheek raising and scrunching the skin together? What does your injector say?

    • @Dara-ub9ol
      @Dara-ub9ol 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NaturalInjector I moved to a new state and that’s when I really noticed it just wasn’t kicking in around the eyes like it used to, maybe it’s the way it’s being injected maybe it needs to go deeper into the muscle. They always say the same thing when it doesn’t work , they say I need much more product or that I have built up a tolerance.

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dara-ub9ol Hmmm I dunno I would try doing more than but resistance to neuromodulators is extremely rare I’ve been doing this for many years and I have never seen it. How often are you getting treated to this area?

    Do you think Jeuveau will move the route of Chronic Migraine? I lost my job due to Covid and can’t afford my 200 units of Botox.. seeing how both have 900kba I thought maybe gaining it a try?

      jeffrey.n.b Hi Jeffrey. I’m sorry to hear that. I highly doubt that and that’s because the company is a cosmetic only neurotoxin company. They never had intentions of getting approval for medical use of their product. I’m guessing you don’t have medical insurance because of your job?
