    Thanks for the very helpful video. Having advanced knowledge of how to dismantle and where to look for the problem is a great help. I my case is it was the turning motor. As soon as I disconnected it, the music started and the LEDs flashed. The replacement has goen in and all is well.
    I opened up the dead motor to see what was wrong. There was no grease in it, but one of the delicate 3 fingered brushes had failed and shorted across to the other brush - end of story.
    Thanks again - Happy New Year

      Strange that the contact broke, I have only opened a few out of curiosity and they had grease in them. Thank you for telling me this, I may open more just to see if I find different failures.

    Had a very similar problem with my Giant Swing, your video was very helpful although its now clear that the upper banner boards don't need to be removed to access the motor and cogs. I've ordered a few RF300 motors, waiting for their arrival now...

    Hi!! I'd like to ask for your help with my noisy sky swing. I dismantled thanks to your video and I cleaned.the result is a little better but it still makes noise. I hope you can help me. Thank you very much

      Where is the noise located (if you can isolate it)? Top, middle or bottom.
      Check for the base rubbing around the base, is common on a lot of carousels

      Thank you very much for your replay. I think the noise is in the middle, now it's quite acceptable, but I have another problem now, the wires on the middle plane get twisted when the carousel turns. the wires from the motor of the last rubber band to the central chip board. I'm losing my mind.

    I need to repaur the same Lemax Sky Swing that stopped working. Like your video I noticed light issues and then i heard the same noise that i hear in your video and the swing is stuck out. I want to purchase a motor but in your page hear you write the motor is 11,400 RPM. That seems really high, did you mean, 1,140 RPM

    • @RandomJunkChannel
      @RandomJunkChannel  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope, it is an SRF-300CA or RF-300CA at 11,400 RPM. It needs the speed so the gear box can slow it down and convert it to torque. The average speed for that size motor is just over 12,000 RPM

      I am in the U.S.A. It sounds as if your motor is shorted out. If you open it and unplug the motor, the lights/sounds should return. The motor is a basic hobby motor and pretty easy to acquire.

    I need a SRF-300CA to replace the motor in my lemax piece, but I can't locate SRF-300's. There are lots of RF-300 motors I can buy, but not SRF. Do you need to use SRF, or can you also use RF motors?
