dude this is such a small world. I'm looking for a video on howto hook up the horn and i come across this video. As soon as i seen that sti 13 on the back of the momo wheel, i recognized it.. i sold it to you on ebay. Great video man.
This is (in my opinion) the BEST video on how to remove & install an aftermarket hub where the horn works. I also like the fact that you showed the correct way to remove the clock without damaging it. THANX.
Just saw two other steering wheel removal/ replacement tutorial, but this beats both of them. you went all the way!!! thanks. planning to do my subaru baja turbo soon with a momo.
Jarrod Garman very good question! It actually is prone to bind up. Newer hubs have two bands around the base of the hub which allow for a better connection that won’t bind
@@ParkerTheBasshead Nice wheel... I hope since this video you've got the right Momo hub. Your supposed to keep the clock spring. That way your horn will work off of the clock spring without binding, turn signals will cancel and air bag resistor fix included. NRG makes one also. But I prefer the Momo because with a little work you can mount the cruise control to that hub too. Momo part #7310. It may require a little honing to fit the clock spring plug harness through depending on year of your Impreza... Check this: forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1177965
My green clip for the airbag on the Inside of the dash snapped instantly and it was quite the hassle to get it out, the pull clips are pretty brittle nowadays. Be careful.
I'm going to be reupholstering my stock momo wheel soon, so question for you: on the clockspring, do those two things poking out of it keep the stock wheel aligned? So, if I remove it I don't have to make any marks to make sure it's straight on when I'm putting it back on? Thanks for any advice!
Hey man i cant seem to find the bit where you plug your horn end into? If maybe you could get in contact with me somehow so you could give me a hand? Im new to this
@@fushou.3059 With the proper Momo hub part #7310 you can mount it to the hub drilling a couple holes. Check this; forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1177965

Do you prefer the normal quick release wheel over a deep dish steering wheel?

I believe they keep it somewhat aligned but you make have to put in on and test it before installing the airbag to make sure its on straight
Nice Video man 🤙🏻🔥

Can you retain cruise control with an aftermarket wheel?
Awesome video man thanks
How to you stop the wires binding when turning the wheel?
If you still have that Clock spring, i will buy it off ya. I know im like 2 years late...
Your. video was the only hepful vid to actually show the real stuff. Not like all the other which skip crucial parts of the job done.
Do your turn signals still cancel them selfs after you turn ?
No they do not. It took a few days but now I turn them off without thinking about it
With the proper Momo hub part #7310 you can. You need to keep the clock spring assembly. Check this: forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1177965
What happens if you cut the clock spring wires?
I've been trying to figure this out for days now. My horn button only had 1 prong on the back of it. Idk what to do 😅 can anyone help
Hey, I hope you see this. What if I don’t attach those ground wires to make the horn work and stuff? I guess the horn just doesn’t work eh?
Correct! Ended up just disconnecting mine
Airbags?
how can hook up a nrg steering wheel on a ae100 toyota corolla
Where can get the wire for the horn
where could you get the wire you used to connect the horn
what kind
so do you lose your speed control lever after you install the momo steering wheel?
seriously, want to know
@@austingagnon4806 yes you lose it unfortunately
You can just plug back in and re mount it else where just not on the wheel
What is the Male end that makes the horn work called? i want to buy these parts
its called DIY good luck bro!
Can you make that long wire for me
why remove the airbag fuse?
Exactly what I was thinking. He could have just disconnected the battery correct?
Promiiss peace of mind maybe when taking the wheel off
@@ErockHQ disconnecting your battery upsets the radio presets and clock, easier to just pull the fuse
you didnt explain how to use the cruise control. are you still able to use cruize control?
Mike Farnham you won’t be able too.

My dude. You did that all wrong. That cooper ring in the back mates with clock spring. Why would you have a bound up wite like that?
Are you saying you can still use the clock spring to hold your wires in place? As long as you remove everything else right?
👍👍
