They were in the flick "The French Connection." The 1st one. That Sanford and Son episode like many of em, was HILARIOUS! "WE WANTS THE 3 DEGREES!" 🤣 That chant got Fred and his homies put out the spot🤣

I didn’t realize they went through a few other group members. The Three degrees I knew of was the ones who sang, when will I see you again, and I didn’t know, those were my jam!!!

I like when they made an appearance on "Sanford & Son". They made breakfast for Fred and as he eating, they're singing "I Didn't know" to Fred.

    Fantastic female group!
As a teenager in the Netherlands “ dirty old man” was one of the first singles I ever bought
There were and are still extremely popular in the Netherlands
And wow; their longevity as a group is amazing with some of the original members still there in the ninety’s and beyond

Sheila Ferguson, who did the lead on “when will I see you again” and Valerie Holiday who is still in the group til this day both traded off doing lead on the groups recordings. They both had great voices and sounded very similar, making it hard sometimes to figure out who was singing lead on some of the recordings. Valerie sang lead on their wonderful remake of the Chantels iconic recording of the song “Maybe” I was not surprised when it was released as Richard Barrett managed both groups as well as Anthony and the Imperials. I only saw the group once live in Puerto Rico (I think) and they but on a great show. Sheila Ferguson lives in the UK and has appeared in numerous shows there. There are videos on TH-cam of her in the UK. A beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.

These are my favourite female group of all time from the early 70s, and still are, none have surpassed them as of 2023. I must take exception though in your saying that Valerie and Sheila sounded alike when they certainly and clearly didn't, they were vastly different sounding, but equally good, all three sounded different. Just saying.
