* It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) that a man said to the Prophet (PBUH): Whatever Allah wills and you will. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: Have you associated me with Allah the Exalted?

It was narrated from Hazrat Abu Umamah bin Sahl that during the days when Hazrat Uthman Ghani was confined in his house, we were with him for a while and when he entered a room, even those sitting on the post would hear him. In the same way, once he entered this room, after a while he came out and started saying that these people have threatened to kill me. Allah will protect you from them. Hazrat Uthman Ghani (RA) started saying that for what crime will these people kill me? While I have heard the Prophet ﷺ saying that it is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim except in one of three cases, either a man who apostatizes after accepting Islam, or adultery despite being married. Do it, or be a murderer and let him be killed instead of the victim, by Allah! Ever since Allah has guided me, I have not preferred any other religion instead of this religion. Yes, then why do these people want to kill me?
