Thanks for watching? How about thanks for having the most awesome bike set-up on planet earth! I want a bike identical to yours and that’s how genius you are with what you choose to put on it. I wish I could afford one right now, so in the meantime I’ll sit back and enjoy your videos.
I've been looking at these, how much more do they extend the lifespan of the bearings compared to if not using? Its been 2 years now accordingly to the video with the these i suppose?
Bearings still good! I just removed / cleaned the back wheel this winter for the first time. The original wheels have 130 or so hours with no issues. Its insurance worth the price.
I’m interested in the bearing caps. I’m worried however that they’ll create a lot of friction at the hub, as the spacer stays put while the hub rotates, and may eventually damage the hub. What’s your experience with that? (three years after the video) have you noticed unwanted side effect? Cheers
@@miro_sThese covers are plastic so not a big deal. But yes, there is minor wear under the plastic on the hub. It's still worth keeping the dirt out of your bearings. I have not had to replace my wheel bearings yet ~240 hours
@ thanks. I’m still unclear how these work, whether the part that clings on the hub rotates with it or stays put while the hub rotates under it. It the former case the cap will slide against the spacer, not the hub, and that would be ok, my worries would be empty (as the spacer is easy to replace, the friction is minimal, and anyway the bearing seals already slide against it…)
Google 'Racecap fastdry'. These are made by an Italian company for KTM/Husky etc. Not many places sell them however it seems, hence special order or order from Italy.
Thanks for figuring this out. I went to put this on and ... no instructions. The web page basically told me I needed to pull out the manual for a cap! Hello Google. Thanks again, I have a '19 and it's the best bike I've ever owned.

@@BlueDawnEnduro Thats so cool to hear! Already got mine ordered, i wonder why this kind of bearing protector product is not more popular!

How did you find the instructions for these parts? I’m unable to find anything with the part number
I remember a small paper insert with a couple pictures but no instructions. Not very helpful.

Where did you find the Husky colored caps?
They were a special order from my dealer. I couldn't find them online in the USA. Go to any local Husky/KTM shop.

@@RR0381 There is one UK online store that stocks them. But the shipping doesn't make sense. In the USA better to go to your Husky dealer.
If they came stock on the bike KTM wouldn't make any money selling them to you...
Yep.
