I liked very much young Rhaenyra , she had a lot of attitude and a lot of chemistry with Daemon
Emma Darcy it appears swings the other way...is part of why the chemistry wasn't there if that helps.

@@assiuuskallio2960 It was a mistake regardless though, it further cements her reputation as a whore and paints any of her children (trueborn or otherwise) as potential bastards who might end up on the throne one day. Resulting in coups/revolts and the greens getting as much followers as they did as a direct consequence. Appearance is everything in GoT/HotD and Rhaenyra threw hers to the wind so she could do whatever with whomever and whenever while her father allowed her to get away with her poor behaviour and covered for her on top of it time and time again. Her arrogance and entitlement as a child/young adult cost her dearly later on in life and the cause can be traced back to moments like these.

But as she got older, she let Otto’s poison dictate her choices and mind. She despised Nyra for having the freedom and protection she never had in her young days, and instead of being happy her best friend benefit the freedom she never got, she envied her. That’s called jealousy.

There's nothing to envy about Rhaenyra, her so-called freedom is an illusion at best and unlike Rhaenyra herself Alicent knows this. What does irk Alicent is Rhaenyra flaunting her privillege and acting like the rules don't apply to her and in the end Rhaenyra ends up paying dearly for it as a result.
It is incredible how things are in the first episodes and how things are in the last episodes, it is true that Viserys loved a lot his first daughter, luckily Heleana is a decent sweet lady but the boys are a danger

I was probably bias, that's why I'm trying to widen my perspective by observing her acting skills. I'd say, she's got the voice of how I would imagine Supergirl's voice sound like. She also got that fierce independent look on her. I think she'd do fine

In a way yes, she was the current queen. And at the time nobody was really sure if Nyra was even heir (tho of course she was) and at this point they were still sorta friends so it wasn’t necessarily a terrible thing.

I lost interest in the show after she was time-jumped. Huge mistake to replace her so soon. Could of had 3 great seasons of her.
HOTD isn't meant to last 8 seasons like GOT. I'm guessing 4 seasons tops, covering up to the coronation of Aegon III.
Jason Lannister is the perfect match. He looks better than Daemon. People who have green eyes and blonde hair are so much better as kings or queens. My protagonist in my book has green eyes, blonde or white hair☝

Don't understand why Alicent gets all the hate. Rhaeneyra literally was the spoilt shit who went around bedding whoever she pleased and tried killing her spouse much like her current husband. To give birth to bastards when you've married for furthering your bloodline is slap in Viserys' face. The idiot king blindly supported her idiot daughter's claim out of guilt. Alicent couldve also done the same, but she was loyal to her husband all the way till the end. She only reacted like a maniac when her child was hurt disproportionately. And the crowning of Aegon was a mistake because of Viserys' deathbed speech to Alicent. Aemond deserved to be king after Rhaeneys. But oh well.
Yes, sometimes I feel that Rhaenyra solved most of her problems by hiding with her father, also that of her children, I feel that she must have thought better before since her children suffered a little because of that.
How the hell is she going to reproduce with Laenor when he’s gay? She isn’t spoiled, it’s Viserys fault for not teaching her to be a good heir in leading. Yes, Alicent shouldn’t be getting hate, but at some point, Alicent could’ve stopped it. Book and show Alicent saw at some points that her father is calculating, she even went against him for all the anger she had for him, and rightfully so. Nyra loved her sons, and yes they are “bastards” but those are still her kids. All because of a small lie, Alicent fell into the manipulation of her father, making her think that Nyra would hurt her half siblings. She wouldn’t, but now that the war has started, blind rage that Alicent has been harboring is now going to be unleashed upon her by Nyra. She’s going to feel all the anger Nyra has harbored. I have much sympathy and love for show Alicent, BUT a lot could have been avoided if there was proper communication, if Viserys was a better father to all of his kids, and if Otto was kicked out from DAY ONE.
Yes, Laenor is gay, if I'm not mistaken if they mention that they tried but it just didn't work, in the same way Rhae fulfilled and gave heirs to the throne

Many viewers fall for the main hero bias. That's why Rhaenyra is viewed by many as the good one and Alicent as the bad one.
I like Rhaenyra as a gray character. I sympathise with her but I am at least aware she did many wrong things and many bad things that happened to her (or are going to happen) are her own fault. She's very selfish. She cares little about her father's feelings, she doesn't care Daemond killed his innocent wife, she doesn't care about Valyrion family loosing their son and so on...
Alicent isn't of course pure but she gets most of the viewers hate just because she often is put against Rhaenyra. To be honest she cared about everyone she knew and actively tried to avoid hostilities.
She is a Targaryen princess and she is heir to the heir iron throne. They dont believe in that faith of the seven bullshit and Alicent was never loyal to her husband rather her loyalties lay with her pimp of a father.
