shighberg believe me, i myself is a royal guard in Denmark and we dont get to this point sleeping, it’s a very long and rough journey to get the premiss of guarding the queen and her family
@@habo8722 Depends on which British guard regiment regiment, they have 5. The Grenadier Guards are 2 years older than Livgarden (1658), which in turn is a couple of years older than the Coldstream Guards. @@jackmeoff454 i wrote it about the monarchy. In Denmark the royal guards are not helping the police in any case, if the police needs assistance to block roads or direct the traffic, we have something called "hjemmeværnet" (in english: home guard) it is a pretend-to-be military kind of thing, they assist the police, not the royal guard except from at the castle. But its was the monarchy that was a huge waste imo.
@@MightBeSmart False. The royal guard does assist the police, they have an entire unit placed to do so on rotation if need be. besides doing guard duty. The music is from alwais thtv touch the soul, the harmony into the soul, very good, don't isn't for you? too
Great to see you caught them on a day when the marching band was also there.
Det er mine Garderkammerater fra 2. vagthold hold AUG '16, som er tiltrædende her.
Jeg havde vagten på Livgardens Kaserne den dag.
There a 4 compagnies wathcing her Majesty - the difference is in the insignia on the Dannebrog and the colour of the tassel on the Infantry sword
I appreciate that the dudes in this band all look grizzled, many of them have beards or mustaches.
Monty Python theme in the beginning.
Yes we love you Denmark!
im from denmark
That is the Liberty Bell by Sousa, not the march at the beginning
Followed by Sit On My Face!
Love listening to the marching here, all completely in unison.
That is why it IS marching instead of walkiing. : - )))
En gang garder, Altid garder...Sådan er det bare!!!
9:00 this is the best part lmao
good job
Den kgl livgarde er noget helt specielt . Jeg elsker den traditioner og bliver så glad , når de spiller
The march beginning at 2:55 is a Danish march called "Orlogsmarch" composed by Richard Lindebro 💂♂️
I can't find it anywhere on TH-cam
Grandma's brother was a member of Livgarden, Chr. X
Long live the queen
One regret is never doing a kongevagt paa Amalienborg. Wonder if they would accept middle age volunteers if they paid their own way? LOL
Why are the Sergeants always shorter?
Not necessarily. The platoons (vagthold) are organized by height and sergeants assigned at random, so it could be the other way around.

Impressive to see a nation's entire army on parade.

Not very interesting. Take lessons from the British
