I first saw and heard the rifles in Bath tattoo in 1973. When they were called the Light Infantry and the Royal Green Jacket Regiments. I just loved their marching style, and their bugle calls 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
Every time i hear those crunching boots at 2.50 it always send shivers down my spine, hobnail boots for parades i always liked them rather than the rubber ones just something manly about them and of course you needed to be very aware least you slip over as it very easily done, thanks for the vid linley i relived some memories. love to all.
@@sebengeli5913 Wrong, The band companies the old Guard (H.M Irish Guards) back to Wellington barracks. As the old guard leaves the band plays the appropriate slow march of the regiment.

The Guards band is boring, the Rifles band (not light Infantry) is infinitely more watchable, did this 5 times back in the 70's with the 3rd Bn The Royal Green Jackets, good fun, but not something I would like to do all the time, that's what the footguards are for
I first saw the Green Jackets in Berlin when I was about 14 years old, I am now 77. Long time ago! They are now, as they were then, very impressive!👍

Got to love the LI, having been attached to both Infantry and LI and having to Drill with both, I do prefer the LI,
God bless the great European's/British people 🙏😁.
Some of these are definitely not British. 🤢
The Sar Major from The Rifles obviously likes his job!
Show me a Sarnt Major that doesn’t 🤣

British AF 👍🏻
És bonito de ver ,lo hacen impecable
That policewoman is very pretty.
🙏🙏🙏
Been wondering what the Rifles band was playing, anyone got an idea what? Starts at about 5:00
Should be "Mechanised Infantry" their regimental march.

This is a rare changing of the guard because of the Gurkhas! And bugles
Not Gurkhas!

What song are they playing at 1:42?
DatBoiWiffDaChannel Irish guards slow march
Let Erin Remember slow March of the Irish guards.
Since these blokes won’t give you a direct answer 😤, the song name is “Let Erin remember” Slow march of the Irish Guards.
Darude Sandstorm
what model rifle do they carry? thanks.
They're L85A2s, they're a bit outdated, they currently use the L85A3 Which essentially has rails for attaching scopes etc
wait, why was a coldstream guard officer in charge of a guard made up of irish guardsmen?
The names of the guards are more of ceremonial things. It isn't abnormal to see a guardsmen from a different regiment.
@@deservingcomplexionm8111 They have historic ties
At that time, there was insufficient officers in the Irish Guards,so there was a Coldstream officer in the Irish Guards is usual
That's the way the Guards do it sometimes.
What is this song?? 3:00
❤❤❤ .
1:41 what is this piece called?
Let Erin Remember i think
Why are the grenadier guards playing the slow march of the Irish guards?
why not grenadier guards are still associated with the irish guards
Coz the irish guard are the ones going on guard but the band of the grenadiers is with them

RMDrumstix kk, thank you for telling me
Because Irish Guards was the old guards and it marched out the palace,so the band need to play the old guard’s slow march

It would be carnage.
This is not the Ghurka Rifles???
No, it's The Rifles Regiment. They both use Light Infantry Drill though.
This is the band of the bugles and rifles but they are Gurkhas too
The Gurkhas where part of the Light Division, unfortunately not anymore due to the meddling of the government.
They are not Gurkhas, completely different Regiment

I guess he does not like standing guard onm events where the british just have a circle jerk or "traiditon is best" but who knows?

I was intrigued by the armed WPC at the gate, her demeanour somehow didn’t match her profession it seemed to me at least.
Break into Quiiiiiiiiiiiiiik time !
Did the guards change their uniform?
Still the same, though if you're talking about the ones with the dark green uniforms, they're the Rifles regiment.

The Regiment of the Royal Gurkha Rifles. They served Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, and now they serve King Charles.
