You remind me of my Step Dad. He's 86 and spent his whole working life as an electrician and electrical inspector. He's always doing stuff with electrics around the house or stereo equipment. I haven't a clue about any of it but he still keeps his hand in the game.
We are the only ones who comply with EMC. I once did a park activation and these grey nomads turned up in their Taj Mahal and when they decided to have lunch the entire HF spectrum was wiped out wall to wall. You learn to be patient when you're an amateur.
Hi Ade there is a large number.s of gear that will make H/F a wast of time I found that some solar regulates can wipe H/F out along with some panels. there even a problem with some of the inverters so that's why I try to camp and play radio well away for other people, one of my biggest grips is so many that run generators don't bang a ground stake in.
All good thanks Ross but very broad. This the longest time in 50+ years I not been camping. I think I got the DDT's from not camping for so long. I be nicking of camping as soon as I'm allowed I be off for a week or so.
Hi Sally yep we are OK but it very hard I been in lock down so far for 15 weeks and we got 5 more as of now, I don't think it will end there, the worst thing is I only been camping this year for a week up in the High Country the rest of the time I been locked up at home,but I can bet you I'm off the first chance I get.

Very welcome there are a few more problems with cheap generators but this will help to fix some high frequency interference

@@JimMcNabb44 I understand. I never camp near other people. And yes, a earth stake is a start to keeping things quiet.
