These mini and micro lures cannot be underestimated both for beginners to hook their first fish. So that they are less likely to become disenchanted and not stay with the hobby. Especially with the competition sizes and these smaller micro boobies blobs and fabs. They both keep the other flies in the feeding zone. Draw in the trout to either take the attractor or to notice and hit the nymph or midge that the fish would have probably not even noticed without the boobie blob doing it’s job
It's great fly, I like to tie in a splitring for the purpose of washing line, under need the antron tail. So you could fix the tippet on the ring in stead of on the hook.

To be honest it was what came to hand when I was tying them up. I think it only makes a difference to tiers and anglers not sure the fish care 😉
