    Hair grease has protected my hair from heat damage since my mother started pressing my hair at five years old and at sixty six my hair is still long and full. Never permed, always hot combed with old skool straightening comb.

      How often do you wash and straighten?

      @@cfoster6804 Since I've retired I've basically been natural, but when I was younger every two or three weeks. Still using my Royal Crown hair grease to seal my natural hair though.

      @@deborahsparks2199 did you blowdry with grease and then straighten your hair again with grease? And how did you keep your hair straight, did you wrap it??

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I wasn't sure if using hair grease to blow out my hair was safe or in bad practice. Nowadays, I'm into the old school grease method and learning how to use it properly. Cheers

    This product reverted my hair back the same day as soon as I step outside in 90 degree weather. Back to Blue Magic ladies. Paraffin wax is a humectant ❌ it’s a NO on natural flat iron hair.
    It’s true what works for one doesn’t work for all.

    Was this the procedure? Washed and conditioned hair with 1) leave in 2) hair grease 3) blow dry and 4) twist.
    Have you done this the other way round ie leave in, blow dry, grease and twist? If so, which one works best and why?

    Thanks for this!! I was nervous, but I’m doing it! I use grease all the time now, and now that I want my hair stretched more as I grow it, wasn’t sure if I could use it this way💗💗💗

    The silk press looks gorgeous!
    I've got myself some kocatar grease this week. I've been using the Indian hemp one & I love that one but wanted to try the kocatar & the large tub was only £4! I do wash & goes with it as I can't stand heat on my sensitive scalp.

      @MissLaurenLeigh11  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much. I haven't tried the wash n go with with the Kocatah, as I was a little nervous that the smell would be too overwhelming, but the smell does fade eventually, so may give it a go when I get the chance. x

    Do you add more grease to it the next day ? And how do you keep it moisturised

    • @MissLaurenLeigh11
      @MissLaurenLeigh11  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, I only grease my scalp every other day until wash day. My hair stays moisturised, as I usually wear it in a protective style after blowing it out and this helps to keep it healthy until the next wash day.

    Oh wow your hair looks so healthy, shiny, and full! I just ordered the Dax Super Lanolin one. I wish I has gotten this Marcel one too. I'm definitely going to order it because I dry my hair with the Revair after every wash. I never ordered it before because i assumed it would make my hair stiff with the wax. How's the smell?

    • @MissLaurenLeigh11
      @MissLaurenLeigh11  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I actually really like the red one. It has a slight rose scent to it. The lanolin is great for my daughter's hair, her hair soaks it up.
      I've been looking for the revair for months, and it's never in stock 🙈

    • @cfoster6804
      @cfoster6804 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MissLaurenLeigh11 I know, they never keep Revair in stock in the UK. I see so many people ask and the company just keeps saying they don't know when it'll be back in stock over there.☹️
      As far as the Marcel Dax, rose scent sounds very nice. I ordered it and will arrive today so I'll try it out. Thanks!

      @@MissLaurenLeigh11 I tried this Marcel wax and it is THE BOMB! I will be using this from now on to heat style. I like it a lot better than pressing oil because it gives a bit of hold but doesn't feel super heavy. It's not as greasy as pressing oil. Best of all my hair does not feel dry and crispy. So glad you made this video, I never would have bit the bullet and bought it.
