Your next brake project should be easier hopefully!! You will need a piston wind back tool for the rears but you probably know that already, they are cheap dont be tempted to use pliers or you may damage the piston & rubber dust cover. EBC sell decent pads/discs & are very reasonable. My local Vaux dealer quoted £350 (not fitted) for front pads/discs on my standard Astra VXR. EBC sold me the equivalent OEM for just £120 including delivery !! This kit was for normal road use on a non modified VXR, if you drive like miami vice or for track use then consider upgrading to slotted/drilled discs & different pad material which will cost significantly more.Look forward to seeing the next vids Hayden, good stuff keep it up.
Coilsprings on the back are fine it's because of the spring rate and they do that soo their under pressure for when you go over bumps etc stop them falling out My dap r springs are exactly the same 👍
Just being Hayden more than likely you've damaged the strut tops (bearings) the symptoms your explaining e. g the knocking is due to the strut tops being f***ed The only likely cause seeing you've checked the drop links
It takes a few drives for the springs to settle or put weight in the boot, looking at how your car sits I'm sure mine lowered but the springs are black, as for brakes I'm using ebc yellow stuff pads and groved disc all round they good but if you harsh driver big brake kit, vectra vxr cailpers or mergane 225 brembos but they a fair bit of cash
I have used plenty of cheap amax & low lowering springs and they have always been fine.I got my new vxr today can't wait to get to work on it 😁is your car mapped ?
Just being Hayden I'd be surprised if it wasn't mapped lol yea loving it bro 😁 i did have one about 5 years ago but crashed it there my favorite cars astra vxr fan boy here haha
Just being Hayden yeah buddy I know what you mean, I don’t same On my old car then found out the closer springs ment to be at the bottom, give us a shout out if it works ;) Also what’s your insta
