  • My husband and I met his family for a meal at a nice restaurant. I didn't know it but mother in law and someone else from in-laws messed up with my food behind my back and then she watched me eating it with a smug smile on her face...

If I had to guess either, there’s something wrong with her or she didn’t want to give you the satisfaction of a reaction. No one should be shamed for wanting something to cuddle.

Re: The Ren Faire Dress: NTA
    1) It's custom made.
    2) You haven't even gotten to wear it once yet.
    3) It is super expensive.
    4) She's not even vaguely the right size.
    5) Even if someone wants to argue with 1 through 4, it is your dress. You get to decide which of your possessions you feel comfortable sharing and which you do not.
I mean, those dresses are a bit more flexible in sizing due to the corsets, but they're not THAT flexible around the waist to go from someone 4'11" 110 to someone 5'9" 200. Add in the height, with nothing to fix the hem, and I don't know what any of them were thinking.
Other people have pointed out that it's a bit suspicious that SIL didn't already have a dress picked out for the party, and I do agree with them that she should have had one in hand. I suspect her plan was to shop your closet. You having just bought this marvelous new dress was a bonus. Though that still means she's a real idiot about sizes.

We sleep with them every night and have for nearly 15 years. There is nothing weird about the wife sleeping with this dragon toy. It is not a replacement for the spouse. It is just a comfort thing. For my wife and I it just feels weird if we do not have it near us. When my wife and I first started sleeping in the same bed I flailed around and since she put the tiger next to me I completely stopped. So nobody misunderstands first let me say that the wife is trash & she's 100% responsible for her actions.
People have GOT to stop blaming others for their cheating spouse, especially if y'all are going to take them back. The reason being is that doing that signals to your spouse that you don't hold them responsible for their behavior. That means no consequences & no accountability & nothing to make them feel guilty when they do it again since they know you'll just blame somebody else.
If your husband or boyfriend cheats on you with another woman, she did nothing to you because she isn't the one who promised you loyalty. If your wife or girlfriend cheats on you, their friend isn't responsible for that no matter what they were saying to her. The only time you get to blame someone else too is when the affair partner is somebody who would also owe you loyalty due to your own relationship with them (parent, sibling, cousin, best friend). That's the only case where the accountability should be spread out to both parties cuz they both owe you loyalty & you gave both your trust.
