I did this portrait a while back using Sennelier oil pastel sticks, I’d like to have something new to share but it has been pretty hectic lately, so hopefully soon.

I discovered your channel (and oil pastels) recently and I've been enjoying your videos tremendously. This painting turned out beautiful as well. The eyes look very alive. Is this painted on Pastelmat? I'm struggling a little and I think I don't have the right paper (yet). I think I will go through a bunch of your videos and leave comments to feed the TH-cam algorithm.
Thanks a lot ❤ I really appreciate it. I use Pastelmat unless I’m simply sketching, then I’ll grab inexpensive printing paper or some drawing pad. For me a smooth sanded paper like Pastelmat is the perfect surface for easy blending, at least the way I do it. It’s a lot harder to achieve that with other papers but maybe there are others that work as well but I haven’t tried.

Thanks a lot for your interest! There is no waiting list of any kind but for personal reasons I'm going to be closing temporarily my Patreon account. I'll be sharing here on youtube artworks and tips though so feel free to ask if there's anything about oil pastels you'd like to know and I'll try to help :)
