My goodness Robbie I just love that you always come with new ideas to help us without spending hundreds of dollars!! You truly are a genius 🤓🤓🤓!! Much love ❤️ as always!!
Robbie, writing here from chilly N.C. I wrote a comment on your other video saying I couldn't start my seeds because of the wind that day. You told me to look out for this video and that it might be helpful. Well it is! You always give such great knowledge and ideas! Thank you for sharing
Absolutely right about trees. Some folks want the instant impact of a big tree and either don’t know or don’t care that it will just sit there for three years before it begins to grow. Thank you for these wonderful helpful tips, I’m an older lady and this will make it much easier for me!
This worked perfect Robbie, My home doesn't have many windows so I searched high and low on the internet and I found the exact same light on eBay, (seller is selling many of these for $10.69 with free shipping), and I started my very first green house! Thank you for this brilliant idea!
Hello from East Texas…. By way of San Diego! I’ve been using the Clear Totes to start seeds for a while. So much fun! You can also turn them upside down over your transplants for protection - when Mother Nature has Mood Swings. Which is the Norm for East Texas. EVERY spring 😝
I used the 2 dollar shoe boxes. They stack and hold 8 seedlings. I kept them on my freezer until they sprouted. Now, I'm taking them outside and open them during the day. Still dropping to the 40s at night here. Chijaua desert wicking container garden. Thank you for your content.
I started my seeds that exact same way a couple years ago, except I didn’t have a heat mat at the time. The peppers and eggplant were a little slow to germinate without a heat mat, but everything grew great! Thanks for sharing with us!
hey, for hanging those light tube from the lid, you can use a ribbon or thin rope & make it long enough to go down to the plant & then unknot the rope & retie it so it hangs shorter. that way you can move the light to the plant instead of propping up the plant to meet the light.
This is VERY handy information for shorter growing seasons in the Northern areas *and* for folks with limited space and need things compact. [ie, Me. Because I do not yet have any kind of greenhouse (yet).] I'm in South Carolina & have a longer growing season sure, but - for example - peppers. Take. For. Ever. - and I can do this in my *craft room* which is where I over-winter some of my plants. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I'm gonna get the goods & do it too! Yay! Yay! Yay!
Great idea for starting seeds. I'm still waiting to be to able to plant onions and stuff. Still too cold. Getting very impatient. Lol. Thank you again for another ingenious idea
i worked for a farmer 73 yrs ago-He plowed the field with the horse. Then he planted the seed. Then he watched the weather. Then he watched his corn and carrots grow. Then old man Berthold harvested the crop. BUT i haD TO THIN THE CARROTS. the end NO BS.
Great idea... I never thought of that! You could even bend the legs to adjust as the plants grow!! Thanks for that tip! My current set up has been a true pain adjusting the light height!!
Hi 👋 Robbie, I hope you’re both doing well. I started some tomato seeds from my first tomato that grew, from last summer. Going to be planting some more seeds soon and I have two small grow lights that I put them under.
Thanks for sharing this idea. I love this little green house. I might do this too with a shoe box or small box. Do you have a video on your 2 cups growing system? If not, please share. Thanks
I can't find the video where she goes in details about it, so maybe she will respond. She briefly goes over it at timecode 5:16 in the video titled .....These Starting Seeds Indoors EASY Techniques Will Changed Your GARDENING Life for a Growing Success
Hey you 🤗 What a great idea. Ive still got a month and a half to wait to plant ouside. Got a mark down grow mat for wal mart. Have already some clear totes. Soo. Lol. Im gonna start seedlings that way. So many ideas so little time. Lol. TY
This is a great idea! What are the specifications for that light, and how long can you keep your seedlings in there before they need to go into another container or pot?
I love all your videos. I have incorporated a lovely compost tote, along with ordering tulle. I have a question: you add a piece of cardboard to raise the temp by 1 degree, do you think aluminum foil would work better ? I haven’t tried it yet.
Please, with the Red Roselle, are they happy in pots or in the ground only? For the hummingbirds or to make sweet drinks? (just ordered 50 seeds from etsy vedor) thankyou, creator!! 🎨
Roselle makes a tart drink but you can sweeten it. I use roselle, ginger and turmeric for my tea. If I accidentally use too much roselle then I do sweeten it. Usually I drink it tart.
I grow them all here in containers, some in totes, and some in buckets. Some people make a jam jelly out of it, we use it to make tea out of sometimes. I will say they are really pretty, the hummingbirds do come to feed on them here, but I’m not sure how much they really get out of the flowers, maybe some pollen.

Again some fantastic ideas!! You are the best😂❤!!

Great! The tiny mat helps speed up the germination, thanks for sharing ❤️

Interesting story 😊❤️
Maybe you could use a Dollartree wire shelf for dishes to elevate your plants.
Great idea... I never thought of that! You could even bend the legs to adjust as the plants grow!! Thanks for that tip! My current set up has been a true pain adjusting the light height!!

I use these plastic storage boxes with clear plastic lids as mini greenhouses to start broccoli outdoors in northern New England.
Hey you 🤗 What a great idea. Ive still got a month and a half to wait to plant ouside. Got a mark down grow mat for wal mart. Have already some clear totes. Soo. Lol. Im gonna start seedlings that way. So many ideas so little time. Lol. TY
Sounds great! Yes

Doyou have a link for storage boxes? I couldn't find any at that price. Thanks for sharing !
TH-cam should have the link there for Walmart, but really you can get any clear tote from so many places 😊 easy to find❤
I found the first dragon fruit that tasted delicious. It was yellow. Saved a few seeds. Do you know if they will be true to the fruit it came from?
Yes the seeds of the yellow dragon fruit ( imported from Ecuador ) will likely produce plants with similar fruit.
Hi Robbie ❤😊
