Thank god I don’t have to go back to school ever again, since I have been enjoying my post college life with the degree, but definitely need a job on my own since the employment market is garbage, but hope you kids are able to face challenges on your own.

Fun fact: the government doesn’t cover everything the classroom needs. We teachers have to supply quite a bit of supplies out of pocket so asking the parents for supplies helps quite a bit

I met my teachers today (open house) and honestly it wasnt as bad as I thought this school year would be. Was very speedy, and organized which is REALLY rare for my school. Im not that worried for the first day im actually kinda exited.

In some ways, I would say that starting "Back to School" advertising in mid-late July is arguably more jarring than introducing a pumpkin spice menu at coffee shops on the last Monday of August. Considering that there is still a solid month of summer left at that point, even if school in some places starts as early as the beginning of August. In fact, the earliest day I ever returned to school was on August 23 of 2018 when I transferred into my junior year of college.
