  • Keith and Troy compete head-to-head using ONLY their spare balls. Strikes may be harder to come by, so spares will be key! Who wins?

Thanks. I assume you are talking about the Zebra Too ball. :) Not bad for sitting in a garden for 10 years. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

    F**king pocket 7-10s lol
When Packy and Mitch did this, they had to throw reactive resin on spare shots. Didn't manifest a lot for Mitch, but was fun to see Packy swinging at single pins. Apparently hooking at spares is a "league bowler" stereotype

I will have to go back and watch that Packy/Mitch video again. Thanks for watching!

@@baldbrothersbowlingPack sort of cheated because he used one with an "engine" in it, the radical spy lol
I've seen people throw a pitch black and a true motion as a spare ball so I'm not sure what definition you're going with. Probably rubber, plastic, or very old urethane and high RG.

@@coopergates9680 the Mix is not really a plastic ball, so you could say I cheated a little also. But with a lower rev rate, that ball does the job for me not hooking much at all. Although I did throw Troy's Zebra in warmup twice and got it to hook about the same. 😁

@@baldbrothersbowling Given that my crown jewel and black rhino urethane roll the same, some urethane is "spare" material to some people lol
Supposedly the different color mixes don't roll the same, Darren Tang wasn't able to get a white one but the blue/purple/silver covered the most boards when he compared them.

@@coopergates9680interesting. I didn't know that about the Mixes. A guy in my league has the blue/silver one and throws at spares, but also throws on first ball when the lanes are weird and it does hook some. I am sure if I knocked off the polish, mine would hook more.

I have a Zebra 2 I use (15lb), one my hubby used to use (16lb) and a NIB 15lb zebra 2. But my favorite spare ball is my Zebra 1 (the black and white one). I also have an eyeball that I use when I get tired of the zebra. Looking for a Tai Chi 15lb if anyone has one hit me up. Your drill pattern on that zebra isn't quite lining up with the stripes going down the lane. They are fun balls to throw.

That's awesome. Yeah, Troy drilled it straight up on the redrill, but typically the PAP won't be that far around the ball. Still looks cool going down the lane. Thanks for watching and sharing.
