Jimmy, I have been making stuff from 17 years old to 54 professionally and I pride my self on being good at what I do. I learn something on every vid you make. You are a inspiration to me. Congratulation on your success and wishing all the best for you. Take care Dave
I love how any time you need to make more than one of something, there's always a little jig (or tool or technique) to "production line" the process. So many good ideas!
You make it look so easy!!! I've been following your posts since a couple of years now and you inspire me to make! is really amazing how creative and talented you are!!!
Que os outros não fiquem zangados mais Jimmy Diresta é gênio, e salva esse canal! Como sempre surpreende mesmo quando faz coisas normais como bancadas!
Jimmy. Even better than the tables are the jigs you make for rapid production. I've seen several you've created as I've been binge watching your videos the last several weeks. How about a TIPS video on jigs.
Everthing seems to be so easy when you make them! Incredible big the metal band saw you've got in there! I saw this vid some time ago, from then I make frames like you do, I don't do miter cuts anymore
Those look like great work tables, sturdy, movable and minimalist. Also neat to see the time saving jigs for the welding. Can I ask how much you charged for the job?
Diresta is one of the best at making, He can take things to a different place when given just a little time. Talent and inspiration, Hire him to do more making!
heh. my desk is a 1/2" square steel welded frame with a 2'x4' sheet steel top. The price I paid for this thing back in the 90s horrifies me now that I make things. I think it was about $700 at Crate & Barrel back in 96? Glad I've gotten 20 years out of it (and it's still fine) but damn.
As many of your videos do, you make me want to sign up at a community college to learn to weld (something tells me welding might not be a good thing to learn based on a haphazard experiments with tools bought at Harbor Freight). Thank you for the inspiration to keep learning!
Always like a boss. Everyone of your projects. Hey prob can't help but notice how so many shop vids now are using the DiResta hyper-speed technique. Picture and sound. You and F. Howarth pioneered a new look but I think with you on hyper-speed Frank with stop motion. Makes Norm (who was (is)) the best look a bit old fashioned but still an icon and very entertaining. Anyway. Very cool as always.
hi genius how are you? I was looking at that tool that you probably made it, I would love to know how you did it, simplify the work a lot, I would greatly appreciate it ... respond!
Great work, as always. You might wanna start wearing a breather when welding if you do a lot of it. The metal fumes can cause some bad respiratory diseases.
Those look pretty dangerous since it doesn't have any 45degree bracing. Even some small one footers would make them look much safer and I bet much more stiff. They do look bad ass...so props for that.
sreyemhtes I was referring to the vertical legs...not the horizontal part of the table (the table top). Those guys have heavy machinery on those tables...if they swing a little bit it might be enough force to cause the tables to collapse and seriously injure someone.
I think that's ok... When I picture the vertical legs trying to skew to side, because they are welded top and bottom, the entire unit would have to skew, like a rhomboid prism. So the top face would become more rectangular. But the horizontal work surfaces are attached to the frame by screws) and by being inaet) and will resist and such distortion of the top face.
They are def strong enough. I bet you have furniture made in china some where in your house and I bet it holds up just fine. These are made by someone with a ton of skill who pays attention to every part of the build.
People that are new to watching your videos may think you edit your videos and speed them up for the sake of the video length. My theory is you actually work that fast because you're obviously not human..
+Joe Soap people that go to "Maker Spaces", and an actual fabricator/artist like Diresta are on different levels when it comes to skill and knowledge. While they could have probably made the tables. they would have probably not been made well.. think the 'cringe worthy' projects you see on those TLC/HGTV channel DIY remodel shows where the host doesn't even know how to hold a drill and is scared of the saws. LOL
Your work is beyond amazing. I work 12 hour shifts overnight 3 days or more a week. In the past 2 weeks have viewed any and every video you have put out and just want to say thank you for the inspiration and motivation you have given me to start working on my own projects. (Insta)@cameronhadesmith So thank you.
I ALWAYS love DiResta builds!!!!
Dude, I love the DiResta family. Jimmy DiResta and Matt Diresta both have great channels on youtube. I watch everything they put out

Thank you !!! thank you for the kind words !
I love how any time you need to make more than one of something, there's always a little jig (or tool or technique) to "production line" the process. So many good ideas!
I like the jig you made to hold the legs up at a right angle. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you brother!
A. Casey Yeah man, a good jig makes easy work!
Love watching you work. That jig for getting the long pieces plumb was slick! Keep them coming and thanks for making them!
You make it look so easy!!! I've been following your posts since a couple of years now and you inspire me to make! is really amazing how creative and talented you are!!!

Serious talent is a joy to watch! Thank you for sharing your tremendous skills, very kind of you.
Que os outros não fiquem zangados mais Jimmy Diresta é gênio, e salva esse canal! Como sempre surpreende mesmo quando faz coisas normais como bancadas!
Your attention to detail is amazing Jimmy. I love the Dewalt track saw. I am making hints about fathers day to the family.
Jimmy. Even better than the tables are the jigs you make for rapid production. I've seen several you've created as I've been binge watching your videos the last several weeks. How about a TIPS video on jigs.
+Paul Elmore Yes that would be amazing!
A tips video on jigs, yes please!
Great job with the jigs and the build. Enjoyed the video!
Always love your work, Jimmy.
Everthing seems to be so easy when you make them! Incredible big the metal band saw you've got in there! I saw this vid some time ago, from then I make frames like you do, I don't do miter cuts anymore
Awesome job, you did a great job on the video. Keep up the good work.
Have you ever made something ugly? I'm joking, I love your craftmanship!!! keep up the amazing work and greetings from Belgium
Those look like great work tables, sturdy, movable and minimalist. Also neat to see the time saving jigs for the welding. Can I ask how much you charged for the job?
Smashing! I love how you kept it nice and simple. What kind of welder were you using for this? Thanks!
Diresta is one of the best at making, He can take things to a different place when given just a little time. Talent and inspiration, Hire him to do more making!
really nice work , i like how did that 90° , that was smart
the jigs are a genius idea for mass production, can i ask how long it took you to accumulate all of your tools and machinery?
heh. my desk is a 1/2" square steel welded frame with a 2'x4' sheet steel top.
The price I paid for this thing back in the 90s horrifies me now that I make things. I think it was about $700 at Crate & Barrel back in 96?
Glad I've gotten 20 years out of it (and it's still fine) but damn.
Those look sharp brother. Very nice.
Looks great! Awesome job!
Hi Jimmy. Thanks for all the videos. Very inspiring. How long did it take to fabricate the tables in "real" time..?
As many of your videos do, you make me want to sign up at a community college to learn to weld (something tells me welding might not be a good thing to learn based on a haphazard experiments with tools bought at Harbor Freight).
Thank you for the inspiration to keep learning!
Can you share some insight on the casters and adapters used on the square iorn to make your table mobile! That was really neato!
Great end result!
found on line there are several suppliers. search stem caster and plug
THANK YOU
Question for you sir. Why do you put the ground so far away when welding?
Thank you Jimmy for another vid.!!
Quick question what type of metal are the angled channels? I am looking at it and it seems like steel but I am unsure.
WOW! I want one of those for my shop!
Can you please make a video on how to build the jig that holds the table legs a right angle
Always like a boss. Everyone of your projects. Hey prob can't help but notice how so many shop vids now are using the DiResta hyper-speed technique. Picture and sound. You and F. Boy those came out nice! I always love these videos. I specially like the power hammers he uses in each one. :-) haha!
Parabéns, ótimo trabalho!
Congratulation, very nice work!
Perfect, as usual.
Looks great. I have a coffee table I want to make like that but I'm going to use some old Barnwood.
beautiful workshop ;)
Increíble! saludos desde Argentina
Hi Jimmy, subscribed to your channel. Looks like you're interested in everything from doing simple things, it turns out great.
Great tables Jimmy. Nice horizontal bandsaw.
Always inspiring.
Nice video! What are those police line borders you have at 0:47
Wow 0.o all this awesome work for just a table
hi genius how are you? I was looking at that tool that you probably made it, I would love to know how you did it, simplify the work a lot, I would greatly appreciate it ... respond!
Great work, as always.
You might wanna start wearing a breather when welding if you do a lot of it. The metal fumes can cause some bad respiratory diseases.
Can anyone tell me what kind of welding machine is that? why i don't see him using any Welding rods?
soy de argentina amigo saludos y muy lindos tus trabajos
They wouldn't let you tag them with your name?? You're a maker space icon!
I would love to work off a DIRESTA table!
Just out of curiosity, where is the maker shop you built the benches for ?
Westchester NY20 mi north of NYC
YOUR THE BEST JIMMY!!!
Simple and clean = nice.
how high are these? they look great
Great work! its not a job, its a art
Digging the jigs bud...well played sir....
Every time I see that chopsaw I'm amazing by how cool a machine that is, haha
Also woah, that 90 degrees jig used to solder the legs is genius.
Where does he get those wonderful toys?
Great Job!!!
DiResta quality.
Como siempre exelente
I like the jig you made here.
Bravo jimmy
The legs were angles and square
is magic
Why do you slow the video like at 5:39 ?
for dramatic effect
Clem Clem because he flips that table like a boss
They are awesome and all, but what makes them "space" tables?
They are tables for a maker space, rather than maker tables from space :)
What's the thickness of the angle steel?
.125 thank you ..1/8th
Those look pretty dangerous since it doesn't have any 45degree bracing. Even some small one footers would make them look much safer and I bet much more stiff.
They do look bad ass...so props for that.
The plywood work surfaces will serve to brace it.
sreyemhtes I was referring to the vertical legs...not the horizontal part of the table (the table top). Those guys have heavy machinery on those tables...if they swing a little bit it might be enough force to cause the tables to collapse and seriously injure someone.

jeanious2009 they're not parking cars on the table, they will be more that strong enough
They are def strong enough. I bet you have furniture made in china some where in your house and I bet it holds up just fine. These are made by someone with a ton of skill who pays attention to every part of the build.
I like the jigs u have done for every job.
diresta vocês são simplismente o máximo.
Muito bom!!!
Jimmy, I see that you've made 3 different tables. Could you give me the dimensions of each
Since you are so good I have a challenge for you, what about creating a bear trap of the film saw the real scale??
The best jig.. The 2x4 used for bottom rails . I mailed the 2 dollars this morning please ship my order of 3 tables expresse.
where is your logo? D:
Sweet
Where do you live from the last part of the video I think that you live in Israel
People that are new to watching your videos may think you edit your videos and speed them up for the sake of the video length. My theory is you actually work that fast because you're obviously not human..
6:04 NEEERRRRRRRRRRRRDDSS!!!
+Brastius correction: JEEEWSS!!
+gourmander ahahahhahahahahaha
Shouldn't dudes in a 'maker space' be able to make their own tables or am I understanding it wrong?
Regardless cool work as always.
I think these are just base tables. They can add their own stuff later if they want.
+Joe Soap people that go to "Maker Spaces", and an actual fabricator/artist like Diresta are on different levels when it comes to skill and knowledge. LOL
You make things look so easy..... too easy...
how did I get here from searching about Ion Engines
The legs were square corners and then
I'm a lil disappointed that the word "Diresta" wasn't stenciled somewhere on these tables. lol
I would not accept these tables because they're obviously missing the most important part: The DiResta logo!
Nice job! Just not a fan of the black and white. Hurts my eyes a bit
DIRESTA
is it true or not
Didn't stamp it with D I R E S T A...value of those tables just plummeted.
From what I've seen, Jimmy doesn't stamp on the things me makes for his clients.
+Sergio Riegas He*
Jimmy, I do not get it, why this laboratory could not buy some tables in furniture shop? Why they have asked you to make these tables?
Sei eccellente lavorassero come te e nn rompessero tanti sono a caccia dei loro 👻 fantasmi non lavora più nessuno ciaooo
Make: I must admit, you're a "fucking genius ". lol. Greetings from Brazil
