I remember staying up to watch Sammy Terry. Thanks for adding in the clips of his show with commercials. I remember the car dealerships from that time, especially Dave Mason. I was surprised there wasn’t a Don’s Guns commercial in there too.
24:16 - I'm honestly confused by this commercial. People just find toilet paper sitting on a pedestal in the middle of the street, and are instantly drawn to it, and to squeeze it. What's worse, apparently Mr. Whipple is watching them do it from a secret camera. Apparently old Whipple had some very weird fetishes.
I was going to say that 10:12 was probably scarier than all the sammy terry segments put together, but then I saw you mention it in the description. :P
Oh my god, Sammy Terry was adorable. I grew up watching Sir Graves Ghastly out of Detroit and he was equally corny and lovable. I have a soft spot for creature feature hosts.
My in-laws had that bed. I had to stay with them for 2 months for Physical Therapy and slept on that bed. It was the best night sleep i ever had. Sammy Terry one scary dud, but at the same time i love it.
I used to see the Time Life Vietnam books watching local presentations of movies on channel 5 in New York all. the. time. Kind of sobering as a kid, really. I want to buy a car from the Nooooooooooooooooobody guy!

...i don't wanna make any money, folks! I just looooove to sell guns HE HE HEH 😆 💕
Yeah I was so little. I usually had to struggle to stay awake for it. Was angry when I awoke Saturday morning to find I fell asleep. 😂
3:41 get it Sammy!

Velvet Cyberpunk It's a shame we won't get to see stuff like this any more... Except as memories on YT.
I never watched Sir Graves Ghastly because I never lived in that area.
That Dave Mason guy started out in Detroit. I remember him using that nooo body line. Wow, memories.
I always remember, “because old Dave needs the money.”
Thank you soooooo much for ALL the GREAT vids!
Not scared of Sammy 😂😂😂
That first one was scary!
The little boy asking his father about Vietnam, I remember asking my father the same questions.

Why do I have the sudden urge to sing "Grim Grinning Ghosts" at the start of this commercial set?
The screams in the Sammy Terry segments are actually old Disney sound effects that are used in the Haunted Mansion.
Grew up with that ghoul......miss those old days
I'm not familiar with Sammy Terry ( I'm from the North East).
He's pretty cool.
Sammy Terry used to be on TV every Friday night on channel 4 in Indianapolis, Indiana. That's probably why you haven't heared of him before.
He was truly the Best
I first heard of Sammy Terry from _Oddity Archive._
Theme music for the Dirty Harry film Sudden Impact playing over that World Series of High School Basketball commercial.
I almost forgot about WEAG....it was originally WNAP

I want to buy a car from the Nooooooooooooooooobody guy!
They always forget to mention that flea/tick collar stinks something awful.
The reverb on the voice of God sounds just like Sammy Terry.
Beginning in 2010, Sammy Terry's son began playing the role. Who would pay to see that? The real "Sammy Terry" (Bob Carter) died in 2013.
I liked that it was his son, and i felt like it was nostalgic &sweet ...i haven't gone to see him, but i liked hearing he was doing it ❤
