Considering Alito is such an extreme patriarchal religious zealot, I find it unlikely that Mrs. Alito would do anything of any consequence, without seeking out his permission and approval. This is a guy who pulled up laws from 1640 to justify his position on abortion. He is living in a far distant past when women had no rights whatsoever.

Federal judges can only be removed through impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction in the Senate. Judges and Justices serve no fixed term - they serve until their death, retirement, or conviction by the Senate.
