So grateful for this wonderful woman and every detailed video she makes. The amount of help her videos have given me is immeasurable. And I only found her 2 weeks before I gave birth.
Get close friends and family to bring food, not flowers! Mamma will really benefit from not having to worry about feeding her and her family in a healthy way.
Been loving all your videos this week! I’m due in a week and a half, after a stillbirth last year. And your tips and information are really helping maintain my anxiety through this time. 😊 I’m lucky that in South Korea we have postpartum care centers to stay at for a couple weeks, with nurses, cooks, masseuses, and yoga classes all available. It’s luxury. We usually have maternal grandmother come stay at home for a while. Since my mom is in the States, my mother-in-law will come stay with us to help with cooking and cleaning for a couple weeks.~ Anyway, thanks again for all your effort!!! ❤️
Thank you so much for your all positive birth videos I just delivered my 1st baby vaginally within 4 hrs of labor pain .. I followed you throughout my pregnancy journey and now here I am for my smooth postpartum journey
I'm a learning doula and I feel like you make such a great teacher and I think that it's amazing that you spread your knowledge for anyone and everyone to see
Bridget Teyler I’m from Silver Spring, MD right out outside DC! Opposite coast! :p. Btw my first birth was amazing and your videos definitely helped me (and mama) :)!
I’m going through post partum recovery now and it is a lot of stress since you have to wake up in the middle of the night to feed your baby and tons of demands place on you blah blah blah. It’s crazy. I thought once the baby is out (my pregnancy was a lot of stress too, I had GDM and baby was breech, had to do an ECV, thankfully I was able to give birth naturally) Anyways, I thought it was gonna be easier, but nope, it’s getting harder. Lol. I want to stay positive but nope, it is harder. I want to try out the padsicle since it sounds very nice and looks like a lot of people are doing it. Thanks for the tips.
You are amazing and such a blessing to me. I am 29 weeks pregnant and have a doula I’ve paid for through the birth center I am giving birth at. I haven’t even met her yet. You have helped me so much already.
@@BridgetTeyler Hey bridget, can we please msg im going through postpartum baby blues and you know alot of these stuff can you please msg me, (323)426-5459 thank you. God bless you
I enjoyed this video! And wanted to share something I like to use after birth, I love using cloth mama pads ❤️. This may seem gross to some people… but I’ve found that for me they are much less gross and sooo much more comfortable then there through away counter parts . I did use disposable for a day or two , and padcickles . But other then that I use the cloth mama pads ! Just another option for you knew mama’s .
I’m attempting a VBA2C at my local hospital here in Germany in a few weeks. I’m so grateful I found your videos! Thank you for sharing all this advice for free! ❤️
I’m so thankful for every video you have made. You answer so many of my questions and I genuinely am comforted by your advice and information. Thank you for doing what you do
You should really think about adding some visual aids. This is all good information, but some of us like to see actual examples of products and brands so we know exactly what to use. Thanks
I was so stressed with the schedule the hospital sent me home with. Feeding my little girl every 2 to 3 hours, waking her when she didn't want eat. Counting diapers. Etc. Her peds dr. told me I'm doing great with her, just let my daughter set the schedule. Let her sleep when she wants, her eat when she wants to eat.
Can you do tips video on this topic if you don’t have anyone to come and help you in those first initial weeks and husband is at work! First time mum here due in April and am facing this situation 😬😬
I had to have a c section and I had to get up myself once baby and I were home. What helped me was swatting down instead of bending, bending really hurt. I hope this helps someone
Thank you so much, this video was so helpful! I’m 36 weeks and 2 days and I’m rather worried about the recovery part. I’ve suffered from hemorroids in the past and I know I’ll probably tear too so I’m trying to gather as much info as I can. 🙈
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful information 😊. I just delivered a baby 3 weeks ago through normal vaginal delivery. Could you please also help me to know that how can I comfort myself from burning sensation in urethra while peeing 😔
I'm due soon and wondering, is it safe to take a sitz bath in the tub when you are still bleeding or should you wait until the postpartum bleeding stops?
Hi Bridget! I have been reading about how good calendula officinalis tincture is for postpartum recovery. How can I include that in your DIY padsicles? I was thinking about mixing it with the witchazel...can you recommend me the amount? Thank you so much and I LOVE your videos! Waiting on my little bundle of joy to put your advices into practice 💖
I use dried Calendula for my sit bath, because I have been struggling with Candida and UTIs. I boil some water, throw the Calendula in and let it infuse for some time, strain the infusion and sit for 10 minutes approximately. Hope this helps.
I have a question though. How are you gonna prevent the padsicle from sticking into your private area. Isn’t it sticky when the aloe very and everything become ice? Also, will it cause infection? Infection is my biggest concern.
Aloe Vera is actually antiseptic. Whenever I have an infection in my finger or on my toe (from picking my cuticles/nails)…aloe helps every time heal up the inflammation and infection really fast.
Just a reminder that the vagina is internal and the vulva and sometimes labia, depending on your anatomy, are external. It's good to try and get in the habit of owning our anatomy and naming it accurately. ☺️ Excellent tips! Thinking about the birthing people out there who don't identify as mama. 💕
I had emergency c section after 9 cm dilation and unsuccessfully pushing while his little head got stuck. I feel like I did both vaginal birth and c-section. After 20hrs in the hospital we got discharged and next day they asked to come back to check baby. So I spent 4-5 hrs waking and in queue in the hospital while having no sleep at all. I feel so overwhelmed and tired and super worried how can I recover. I am worried that I overdid already. I didn’t sleep first 48 hrs. 😢 I am always using abdominals 😢 and my back is killing me. How many hours I should rest during the day? And night?
Please please tell me they give you something stronger that tylenol and ibprophin? 27 weeks with twin and i have to get a c section at 34 weeks. Im seriously considering this as my first and last pregnancy cause i don't see me taking major surgery recovery well.
Can padsicles and sit baths be used while having stitches? Where I'm from they usually make the cut manually to avoid tearing in an unwanted direction what do you think about that as well?
I gave birth oct 16 22 I had cervix tear during labor. Which was really painful experience for me as a new mom. I feel burning sensation down there and its hard to sit while feeding my baby. What should I do that can help me to recover little faster? Because there are stitches pls tell me what can I do?
Please get a numbing spray. Dermoplast has helped me with my first and my 2nd as I had tears and episiotomy with both. It numbs the place for at least 3hrs, makes sitting easy. Definitely get a sitz bath, add Epsom salt and lavender oil, to sooth the place after pooing and just when you feel the place is too painful. Iodide or iodine , also added to your peribottle really helps with the healing process. Wishing you all the very best. You will be ok.
There are sadly some people that a mother cannot ask for help because they do not understand that being pregnant and giving birth is not a walk in the park and they expect the mother to do much more then she is capable of.
I’ve had two c sections and the best thing you can do for it is to leave it alone and keep it dry. No scrubbing, just let the soap run down over it in the shower and pat dry.
Hi, do you guys experience vaginal itchiness after a few weeks of giving birth? If you also have this issue, can you share how to relieve postpartum itchiness?

Heads up, in the Build to Birth courses Bridget does NOT recommend padsicles. Instead she recommends heat and warm compresses to speed up healing.

Love the padsicles for my recovery!! Just out of curiosity, does the lavender do anything, or it is it just for the scent?
Tiffany Josts lavender is anti inflammatory

If you already have hemorrhoids from pregnancy do they get worse or cause worse tearing during labor&delivery?
