@@TheFishinMagician20 it had 5 plus pound largemouth… it was insane! We always threw them back. I tried going back a few times since then and never caught another bass. It sucks when ppl can’t respect a good fishing hole.

welcome! My advice is literally try every water you see. ALways sink some sort of bait and throw some sort of small artificial. You will find out quick if it sucks or not haha
How's it going Mark? Good to see you still out there picking them off. Hopefully here soon I will be healed enough to wet some lines and be back out in it. Thank you for the video and keep on doing what you do.
I want to recommend getting a gripper for your scale . It’s not a good practice to pierce the jaw of the ones you catch. While it seems like nothing it can seriously affect the fish after release.
I had grips a long time ago but the best way is to put them in a bag and weigh if you want no damage. On the Potomac river we had a lot bigger fish and you can actually break their jaws if they were too heavy. Here the fish are all in the smaller end so we don’t really have that issue. These guys were hanging by the sand paper mouth. Never pierced one
You sure use heavy lines for such small fish. I use those out fits in salt water for bluefish, stripers, and red drum in the range from 1 pound up to 30#.
Love the videos man keep up the good work mark. Also, do you think you can do some flathead catfishing? I love your old videos of you catching flathead can't wait to see some more awesome videos
I kind of envy fishermen that can sit or stand in one place and wait for fish to take their bait. I just don't have it in me. I don't have that kind of patience. I have to be on the move. If the fish don't bite within ten or fifteen minutes or a dozen casts of my lures, I move to another spot. I have to go in search of the fish rather than waiting for a fish to swim by and maybe take my bait.
that's so funny you went here, I've been fishing this exact same spot for over 10 years since they were still building houses their and would catch GIANT bass.
When you’re trying to catch shad, throwing a casting net at them, you have to close the net the second it hits the water…because in my experience the longer you let it drop towards the bottom, the less fish you’re likely to catch, not sure why, they might be able to swim out of it as it drops…or at least that’s my opinion!
I here there are a ton of very large catfish in Firebird Lake off of the 10 by the casino. If you can get permission would be a great place to dip a line. The Gila Ditch feeds it.
