First channel I've ever felt strongly enough about to subscribe to. Lifelong fisherman, and my 10 year old son finally caught the fishing bug this summer so we've been hitting it hard. Keep them coming sir!
I've always just watched youtube casually, but this was the first time I found myself checking for new content daily so had to sub. We've pulled 10 species out of our little 50 yard stretch of river at our favorite spot this summer. No monsters yet but we've lost a few that we're ripping drag so we know they're in there!

Why do people call them talapia. That's what the restaurant calls it, they are African Cichlids. That was brought over to sell commercial as food; because they reproduce and grow quickly
African cichlid is just a general term used for pretty much any cichlid found in Africa. Cichlids have the scientific family name “Cichlidae” and these tilapia are both “Oreochromis” (blue tilapia Oreochromis aureus and Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus). It’s like the California locals calling the scorpionfish sculpins, when sculpins are Cottidae X and scorpionfish are Scorpaenidae X. In the most respectful way possible you are wrong.

You should try magic thread on those shad, it might sound crazy with livebait, but it keeps your bait from getting picked off.
How would you wrap them in that case? Through the hook hole?
I would usually wrap the top of the hook a couple times, then just wrap around the tail.
What is the lever you flip up at 6:55? Never seen a reel with it.
The clicker or bait feeder . It allows the fish to swim after without feeling tension and makes that clicking noise

Try some small bait fish such as bluegill. They live longer than shad. They even work as cut bait. Nice episode I enjoyed .
You need some bells if you're going to be running multiple rods and a cast net.
Eh, not really. If your reel is loud enough you’re fine unless your rods are super far apart from each other.
