I was planning on being competely f2p but I finally decided to I get the cheap bp since I got it to lvl 50 by just playing and not even paying attention to the task so might as well!!, plus Kuro studio has been so good to us with the freebies, so I'll give some support back to them as a thank you for being great to the playerbase and actually taking suggestions from players to improve the game better moving forward. My account however has been super lucky so far, I don't intend to buy anything other than the cheaper battle pass tho I do hope they update it more and actually give more rewards from it cause I do feel that its lacking compared to genshin battlepass rewards and honkai star rail... My now light f2p account has pulled a copy of jiyan and his weapon, verina, encore, c1 jianxin, and I was able get an early pull on Yinlin and her weapon, and C5 mortefi, honestly got super lucky!! never rerolled accounts either! oh and I still have the free character selector they gave away, not using it just incase 1.0 characters and 1.1 get added to standard banner before the ticket expires in 1 year, but well see maybe I'll eventually use it 🤣, also for those that don't know 1.1 will give us 80-90 pulls in total!! :)
@@SynoWuwa well it really comes down to if u want some more resources to help your account a bit, a 10limited pull and some normal pulls plus, and actually a decent bp weapon choices, though kuro games already giving us free standard 5star weapon selector at lvl 45 which honestly super nice of them to even include that to begin with + the free 1000 astrite 🤣. If you don't wana get the bp tho and just stricly want to save for more pulls for future characters/weapon banner, the cheaper option would be the daily login astrite.
I am union 43 and this is correct weapon is much important you will get many characters but not weapon. I used 30 in standard weapon banner and got both emerald of genesis and static mist. Now i am waiting for union 45 for another weapon choice
Thank you for pointing that out however heres my line of thought! Personally from my experience on my UL 41 account progression is gated behind RNG mechanics like echo drops (with right main stat) and the substats they roll. I have merged around 1500+ echos by now and used more than 1000 premium tuners. Basically choosing to summon for the CR sword or Cr pistol over the characters gives a safety net to your account because it lowers the requirements of how well your echos need to roll. Which saves materials and prevents u from going broke like most end game players are feeling right now. Another thing to note is that u first must hit UL 45 which for MOST players that is F2P isnt something that happens quickly. And 2nd is that its only a choice of 1 weapon. TOA requires 3 teams in total to get all of the astrites! But yea I personally agree that summoning for characters is more fun!
I think you can take advantage of the discounted/pick your choice character banners, though. These characters are stronger than the four stars, and you can be sure to get someone like Verina. For those of us right now, that means we can pick 3 five stars of our choice, which typically means Verina, either Encore or Calcy, and then one probably whatever RNG gives you. But for newer players, ones who start too late to get that compensation five star, they won't have the same amount of choice. And this matters, because this is a game, so it is generally a good thing to have a character you enjoy. And note also that that multiple team bit thing can cause issues with the lack of defensive supports we currently have, two of which are those standard banner five stars. But I think once you have the five stars you want, which could just mean Verina (if you like Rover and/or featured banner ones), then, yes, it is better to swap over to weapons for a while after that. They offer quite a bit more attack than the four stars, and, while you can lose 50/50s on the featured character banners to get the five star characters, there's no 50/50 to lose on weapon banners. So, for me, I currently have the guantlets, the whatever Encore's weapon type is called, and am working on the pistols, after which I'll get the other two. That said, you're going to go broke regardless. I've basically geared, and not that well, 5 characters, and I'm at a point where I'd need to farm for echo xp. Also, weapon xp. And I have under 1m in currency, and that's with them giving us 1m and the double drop rate event.
Pulling in weapon banner isn't that bad... Since there are alot of characters you might want to use. Going for sword first then waiting for a character like a [Gun] Character to appear might be worth going for...
as a f2p player i am lucky that i got everything that i wanted. i got 5star character 10pulls on 50 guaranteed, got 5star again on 20 pulls on the character selector, got yinlin weapon for my encore for only 10pulls, and roll for stardard weapon for 50 pulls and got 2x 5 star weapon(8pity and 41pity)and 4x yangyang on weapon banner for some weird reason. still havent touch astrite and the character event pulls. so im on a pretty good run.
I did pull on the standard weapon banner. Basically I sacrificed the chance to get one of the 5* characters in order to get the 5* sword for the Havoc Rover and I'm happy with that choice. I'll get Calcharo later on. I'm still unsure if I should roll on the beginner banner or keep rolling on the weapon banner next time. That would mean having three 5* weapons at around UL50-55 (including the free one that everybody gets at UL45). Anyway, these gacha games are built to be played for a very long time. So, deciding between a weapon or a character right now that the game is barely three weeks old, will not have a meaningful impact for people that plan on playing the game long term. A strong weapon might make the game easier in the beginning and net a few more premium currency in the first few weeks of gameplay, but it's not like right now the completion of Tower of Adversity is impeded mainly by the lack of a 5* weapon. The UL related cap on character and skill level and the lack of good Echos are the biggest obstacles when trying to complete that kind of content. When you try to face level 100 enemies with level 60-70 characters and weapons, and with mediocre Echos, the time it takes to take them down is so high that the score suffers. That means that most accounts won't see a big gap in Astrites gained in the Tower of Adversity. 10-20 more pulls won't mean anything over years of gameplay. So, to anybody that didn't pull on the weapon banner: just be a little patient and everything will even out. You didn't make any kind of big mistake by pulling for a character instead of pulling for a weapon.

weapons is totally worth it you can switch it to any character you want to main it with plus if you pull for the standard and when you reach Union lvl 45 the two 5star weapons you got

I have the 5* standard weapon for calcharo and its amazing as he has crazy dps now, but i was wondering if i should pull for the 5* sword for sanhua or the rectifier for verina. which one do you think will suit my team best?
@@maye1794 In terms of meta definitely the sword, Verina isn't a character that naturally does damage however if u do plan to build her as a main dps, u can go cosmic ripples. I personally wouldn't recommend it in terms of meta but this is a game so do what is most fun to u! Or if u plan to pull for encore, cosmic ripples is her 2nd best weapon! The 5 star sword works on all sword dps and sub-dps out in the game right now. In the 1.1 update changli is a sword user as well so if u plan to summon for her and not her limited weapon, definitely go 5 star sword. i havent pulled on the beginner character banner at all. I have the sword and pistols from weapon banner . No regrets I got verina with selector and lost 50 /50 once to encore . My account doesnt miss the character banner pulls at all ( i main chixia / s6 ) . Of course I have yinlin and her weapon as well so that helps

yeah for me the only regret I got is I play my first account when I got my first 5star and he was REALLY BAD don't like his playstyle and the damage is not that good but after him I got what I wanted the banner pull got jiyan in my 65 pull his weapon in my 26 pull and when WuWa gave compensation I tried to pull for a second one and got it in my 29 pull tried for another but may have push it down 33 pull in the banner weapon and for the standard weapon got the sword on my pity pull the banner weapon Taken all my luck 😭 I have to skip yinlin cause no more astrite and gonna save up some for changli Lets just Hope Im gonna get her below my 30pull
1. If you're making a video try creating a divide/segments. Since it's a video about Regrets you can list the regrets and you can show it on a document or a text on screen and focus at them instead of just blitzing through them. Though it is an opinion, regardless you're making a content probably hoping to be a streamer or content creator? cuz u have a twitch. 2. For this game, Doing early summons aren't bad, I see a lot of people doing fine with trash pulls and not even using the 5* units they got from free selector besides Verina. 3. Resources are the only thing that mattered. Mostly Gold Tuners. The rest are fairly balanced in terms of rates, Probably the shells since the cost of Shells even 10 million isn't enough for a single unit. 4. The end game is obviously not meant for any single f2p to be cleared within a single month lol. It's virtually impossible unless you max refresh using your Asterites or your Cubes without a care. Usually casuals will clear it by 2-3 months playtime and for f2p who really grinds and min max probably a month. The asterites lost that time isn't that significant that you'd basically brick lol. 5. and finally the Tuners issue is even known to the devs they are finding a way to fix it without making the game too easy or fast. 6.

But as for the part where I talked about bricking, my summons have been decent but echo luck has been quite bad for me and after spending 500 premium tuners and 600+ echo merging in 1 session, I barely built my yinlin. Did the optimal echo leveling strat as well so that’s why I made this vid to talk about mainly having a safety net of guaranteed stats to fall back on! Problem was I didn’t explain this in the video 😂 but yeah thanks a lot for the great advice will try to apply your advice into my videos!
