been leveling as affliction with haunt and master channeler, the healing and damage is really strong and the sustain is really good I haven't had to eat or drink once.
A slight note on Curse of Agony, when you hit lvl 18 and get the second rank it is very much worth using it. You won't have as overpowered a wand at this level and mobs generally live quite a bit longer than the early levels. You will get plenty of damage out of that GCD, and you really shouldn't have any mana problems (even without Life Tap, at lvl 18 you can't go OOM as a warlock). I'd also use it a bit prior to 18, especially when pulling two mobs. This way it will get good value on the second mob. If you want to really min/max, get a damage meter and try the rotation with Agony. See how much damage it does - if it is more than a single wand attack, then it was worth using a GCD. If not, then skip it and try again at a later level or when fighting tougher mobs. Still a good point that you shouldn't use it mindlessly, though! There are certainly many times where it will deal so little damage that the GCD is better used wanding.

As a long-term drain tanker, that's very interesting. Those extra points will come in handy! Might be nice to dump them into demonic embrace for a bigger mana/health pool
i would LOVE to lvl as Detsro so i can one tap ppl on the pvp servers and i m rly bored of the affliction lvling. Not sure if i can cope with the mana tho.
Dunno about improved Life Tap .. while leveling low level lock in Classic - I barely ever need a lifetap ... 3 dots + wand and regen gets mana full for next mob, unless I'm really chainkilling w/o a second to spare
Hey thanks for the guide. I'm an old, old Vanilla Warlock returning for SoD, so it's good to have a refresher. Speaking of refreshing... do you think it will be worth speccing out of Improved Corruption at endgame if you go with Everlasting Affliction, since mobs will live longer, and you'll likely only be putting on bosses once at the start, or maybe on a phase change?
i cleared nax back in the day, was older around 28, after that i did P server , Nos, Elysium, Lh, and all the rest, im gona chill 2 night playing the first night is pretty much 5-6 hours to 10 il play on friday. But honestly i wanted more out of a classic + game, wanted warlocks to get more skills and i also been intresed in shadow p Lore, its lock or shadow p for me if shadow p´s gets some sort of mp5 improvment. ill roll that.

why do you think mining is slow to level? get maybe 5 ore from a node, 3 or 4 skill ups per node. Then you smelt it, 1 skill up for each smelt. It goes pretty fast by comparison to others.
I only meant slow you down if you're speed leveling. And only because a ton of people will be mining IMO. Plus the act of mining itself just slows you down leveling.

Depends. Usually solo I like to grind mobs. I'll start, sell all my stuff for Immolate, then get my Imp right away, then go off in the distance and solo grind. But also you can just party up with anyone to do the easy kill quests too to help.
Agony should inly be used when there are multiple enemies or a big one, then ull want to use it and use it first so it can ramp up.,otherwise corruption only. Agony wastes too much mana when u go one mob by one. Haunt first so it heals more i think, health = mana w warloch so u can keep going

Haunt or Chaos Bolt both are really good and all you need. Haunt is a little better since it heals you and you can keep pulling longer. But I prefered CB
with master channeler i feel like its going to be a bait rune, i very much doubt it will tick every second and will most likely be every three seconds leaving it still only hit five times like it would just draining and will cost twice as much, heal less and take three times as long to run down, that and if resisted its not available for fifteen seconds
hopefully I'm wrong that would be good, I'm also hoping that the lake of fire rune can trigger from grenades as they deal fire damage and that could help hold agro on multiple mobs at once helping with the AOE threat a bit, i do agree that master channeler would be good in PVP though and since you said it triggered often maybe you could just fear the mob with drain life on it and wand down another. Also do you ever think there would be a time for tanking to not take master demonology and use soul link with an imp that's phased out so it doesn't take damage instead its only the 30% reduced from soul link and you could apply fire shield from the imp for a bit more threat too@@Crix_Gaming

It could very well be possible yeah! Free extra 5 points. Altho you usually would put arleast a couple in to drop down a tier.

Master Channeler is busted! You can Life Tap infront of mobs attacking you and still have sustain

It will be hard unless they give us avoidance on pets. Otherwise the pets will die to like everything.

i prefer zygor over rested exp but thats just me. but they both work ow and you can just crack the living hell out of both so its full free xD

I mean they showed footage at Blizzcon, it does insane healing and with master Channeler rune you take Haunt for an additional DoT being empowered.
I played the demo at Blizzcon and the healing wasn't like a ton, but it was often. I think it'd be amazing for leveling, since we drain tank
