Really enjoy your content Kargoz, especially your clear bond with other players/youtubers/ class leaders! keep up the good work. One thing i'd ask though, please, PLEASE stop clicking, dragging and highlighting on your presentation. It creates a visual distraction that draws your viewers attention away from what you're saying and or displaying. (presentation skills)
The class design in classic is something else. I think it falls apart a bit for some classes in raiding but for world content and pvp most specs have a place. Its awesome.
Yo I have to disagree completely on early leveling a lock. Levels 1-10 your the only class w a pet and therefore 1-10you are actually the FASTEST leveler until hunters get their pets at 10 then u fall behind to like 3rd fastest (after druids get cat)

Can you make a video on useful warlock macros using the coding for this client - useful pvp ones, engineering gadgets, advanced pet commands (focus target), etc

Small addendum to "Resource Control" section:
Due to the life tap mechanic class is built on, most warlocks will carrry 2 sets of food with them; one for the Well Fed buff for that extra stamina and other most likely fish for ooc regen, plus Bandages, no water. I've found through extensive testing that Bandages plus Well Fed food is the way to go. Just carry your stack of porkchops with a few stacks of bandages and you're set. Lvl appropriate food takes 30 secs to regen 80-90% of your total health. Bandages on the other hand take 8 secs to overkill your healthbar(depends on bandage). This severely cuts your downtime and is bagspace efficient, which is something to consider as a warlock. One more thing, bandages can be used in combat as long as you dont take hits. So fear/seducce and regen to full health in the middle of a fight! You can even do this in pvp! You can use bandages as an emergency heal also; if you pop a bandage right after a mob's AA you can get 1-3 ticks off of healing, depending on mobs attack speed.

I am leveling and stacking the hell out of hp regeneration with food and potions.. and bandages. It's pretty nice with with life tap talent.. i barely stop to drink
He didnt mention that because it sounds better in theory than it is in reality. I LIterally never carried Stam food.. what is +20 stam gonna do for you when you lifetap for more hp than that.. you may occasionally be able to get off one more lifetap than you normally would... but why lifetap to near 0 hp except in emergency.. thats just asking for death. Stam food is not worth the cost imo. If you're able to cook food with stat buffs, sell it... the gold will help you way more. Literally ANY level appropriate food plus bandages is fine.

i know most people are realy dumb when it comes to math but.... your percentages are wrong you have 100% and then .857% it should be 85.7%. Also 1:35:47 you say they get the least from health spirit, which is not true you are just reading the first number and assuming its the least which is so dumb..

Summon yourself>hs>repair>take the summon< very useful when bags are full
48:07 When you're talking about health funnel, you say it interrupts the 5 second rule. It doesn't. Just like life tap, since it costs health to cast and not mana your mana regen continues.
Disagree with you on a few points, but most of all your stat priority! Yes, spell power is the most important, as for any caster.
But spirit is the most useless stat - especially for a warlock - and both stamina and intellect is much more valuable!
As a warlock past lvl 30-35 you'll hardly ever going to drink! Life tap and drain life are your best friends.
You'll never actually take advantage of the natural mana/hp regeneration, whether you have 10 or 1000 spirit.
Invest in stamina and/or intellect!

curse of elements gives dark pact more effect so u get more value from the dark pact if u coe ur minion.

You can use curse of recklessness if the enemy healpriest is mindcontrolling your meele to make them immune to the fear once they get back on target and buff their potential to burst that heal down
Question regarding Curse of Exhaustion. How useful is it with 0/4 improved exhaustion? 10% slow seems so little. Contemplating taking it for PvP situations but would it be that useful?
Was also thinking of maybe dropping improved drain life even though I will drain tank. I know every little bit counts when viewed over many mobs as said in the video, still the numbers are just so bad. The extra points would make it possible to go 4/4 improved exhaustion. If it can save your life in PvP it can be viewed as faster leveling, saving corpseruns.
for the multi dotter talent tree is it worth specing into if your not running with a priest and lets just say and full group with like shamin paladin and a fire mage?
after hitting 60 i realized i bought almost 0 of the grimoires. Just use succy from 30 to 60 with drain live and cruise all the way with next to no downtime.

Nicely done :D I never played a warlock in vanilla. Started out as a Paladin...didnt make it far lol I think I made it to level 15 or so and then switched to mage. Didnt make it past 45 before TBC. Made it to 65 when Wrath came out. Wrath was the first time I maxed out a character...did it as a druid lol eventually got my mage to 80. Still, I always like watching guides. Never know when the info might come in handy :D

Quick question from a noob Lock enjoying WoW for the first time - how on earth does the Warlock summon themselves back to the dungeon following a run??
Select yourself, cast summon, get your party members to click it and the accept summon button will come up and you can hearth back home and repair, buy whatever you need and then click accept to go back to the dungeon
why is manual control over pet abilities so important? i get they can oom but how much do you really have to order them to attack vs just defensive and whats the point in making them stay/follow etc.. Great guide btw but cant i just let my pet be on auto pilot?

Kargoz, I just want to say that I love your videos. I often listen to them when drivning home from work, and I get so nostalgic and excited.
I am still playing era on EU Firemaw cluster, which is alive and kicking. We are two guilds on alliance side who clear every raid from MC and ZG to AQ40 and Naxx every week (similar stuff is going on for the horde).
A lot of people are coming in from SOM and TBC, and there are many alts, so we are able to pop 3x full world buffs every week, and have been doing so for a very long time now.
We also do ranked pvp and multiple people are getting their Rank 14 by using poolboosting. I got Rank 12 on my Hunter for the gloves and is nearly BIS. This is the best game ever!

So drain tanker is typically the best set up for solo play, especially if using the hardcore addon?
This is the way
i would add one weakness - Everybody expects you to summon them lazy asses to dungeons. its not hard but sometimes really frustrating.
The annoying part is that everyone wants to be summoned, which leads to only the warlock showing up to the dungeon while the others are arguing about who deserves the summon more.

What do you mean the warlock can summon himself back?
I'm guessing you can target yourself and perform a summon with folks. Hearth out and you still have that menu allowing you to accept the summon which will bring you right back.

After grinding a priest to 50s and getting utterly burnt out on how arduous solo leveling is (and the lack of demand for healers on my server) I rolled a lock and got to level 20 in one day. Can't wait to max out I'm having loads of fun. Thanks for the guide!

I wish I had the patience and desire to micro manage as much as the warlock requires. I played one up to about level 50 and felt like I prefer the simplicity of some of the other classes. I'll stick with mage for a caster.

In vanilla I used the eye the most in AB. I could defend the mill or something and scout down when our side left another flag open. It would let me have a better chance to get back there while my team attacks something else. Or I could hide behind something and see the flag at the base where I was.
Ready to start! Kinda unsure how to feel since I'll be playing alliance for the first time. Joining a few friends who used to be horde but their guild moved to alliance. Now I kinda feel like a traitor, once horde, always horde. I'll just have to join a second server for solo play I guess. Thanks for the videos man!

yo bro just have a question is soul link good for leveling ? because i was affli demo and i saw a soul link warlock doing better then me with the same gears and do alot more dmg and alot more aggro with the pet damage increase etc ?
Nice guide! Planning to drain tank as well. Just wondering if Felhunter might be better overall. It does almost as much damage as Succubus and is much more durable. I believe Felhunter has better mana regen too for more DP usage. Thanks for this. Very useful.
when you mention "pushback" what are you exaclty referring to? EX: "70% push back" sorry noob at playing WoW
spell pushback, when u take a hit u lose x% of ur cast bar.
