Correct me if i am wrong but when someone says "tap, tap, tap" you are supposed to immediately let go. Not finish the technique just because you wont listen. That is what i do. Maybe i am doing it incorrectly. Although i can tell that no one is in actual danger. Maybe it is a more trustworthy environment. Just seems a little bully-ish. If someone kept doing that where i trained, and didnt stop after mentioning it, they would quickly get kicked out.
She was a white belt still a bit scared of rolling and clearly tapped way earlier than she had to. Gezary was probably in total control and knew she was not going to hurt her. Just like that she showed her how it feels when you actually get into an armbar position with a stretched arm.
It's very different than a spazy white belt or someone at a similar belt going strong and trying to prove they can beat you. Which then becomes dangerous and creates bad gym environment but I don't feel it was like that in this case
On top of that it’s actually bad for white belts to tap too early. Sometimes upper belts will catch and release and will try to encourage lower belts to work on their submission defense. Put them in a bad spot and then make them work their way out of it because that’s how you get better. Plus, they were flow rolling anyway, she wasn’t in any danger. Dern on the other hand, she gave them girls the black belt treatment
Gezary passing the guard straight to the arm bar is a thing of beauty.
Yeah! She's amazing
LOL everyone else: POSITION BEFORE SUBMISSION!!
That walk over pass to instant arm bar is worth the like alone 👍.
I'm loving how much content is being posted of the fantastic women in grappling arts, not just a few token moments in male centric videos. :)
