You can get the PowerColor ITX single-fan model here in Australia 🇦🇺 at RRP/MSRP still 👍 I agree for a Gen 4 PCI-E build, this an ok option to complete a build. But not for those on older Gen 3 PCI-E motherboard builds 🤕😭 who will get less performance in newer titles.
Interesting review Mike. Consider if building a new entry level PC then you have gaming, reliability and warranty for peace of mind. For existing PC gamers, then I agree with other Gen 3 PCIe users this is not suitable for our systems as we are looking to step up detail levels, stream perhaps even video editing. New with warranty and available at lower cost is a winner for some users. When the 1650 was launched at about £138 in the UK, to get the cards to that price most of them used the smallest single fan coolers, no heat pipes and no back plates. I know that card was completely bus powered, and this uses slightly more power, but as this was originally a laptop die, most of these coolers seem massive overkill for the cards, almost as a way for the board partners to justify charging just above RRP. As long as you know what you're getting out of the card though, it can be a decent option at the moment.
Tbh, I agree with most of the criticism of this GPU. However, firstly, look at current GPU pricing as a comparison. Secondly, how many times can you remake the wheel …. in this case, a budget entry level 60fps gaming GPU?
very true. it isn't a great advance in FPS but a massive reduction in power consumption and is generally available to buy if you want one, no one is being forced to buy it so it is an option for those that can't wait for some other competition or simply cant justify spending 300-400 quid

Thats not a bad looking card.....I know I said that Im a Pulse fanboy but the Asus model looks quite tasty too and behaves exactly the same as the Sapphire one. People can say what they want (and they will) but this is a solid 1080p performer. Was giggling at a hater who was mouthing off about this card the other day and then let slip that they themselves use a 1080p monitor ! Sheesh ! People will always want the best they can for their money. and historically we have been used to more than this for the money. Times are changing and for now this is it. Even the used market is drying up and RX570 and similar are selling USED for around £250 -£300 in that instance this makes a lot more sense and is still quicker than those is games and better than a 1650 / super in most instances and both of those are new in the £250 plus range, IF you can find stock

i treat it like i would a 1050ti or something like that because that is the type of card this is, so punishing it with tasks it can't do is just showing how weak it is and i think we all know that, so showing it breezing through esports titles is really what this card was originally designed for, albeit in a laptop not a desktop.
Another thing to bear in mind, most people interested in this card are likely to be using a pcie gen 3 mobo, which massively nerfs the performance of this already gimped card.
OK right time for me to get on board with the 6500xt and actually check one out for myself 🤔 so bought the msi mech version from ccl for £199 I blame you for this purchase mike😉

lets be honnest... it's manure ! the 580 8GB card is a better hands down, just that it has 8GB of ram alone and is not in the "PCI 3/4 lane mess". The RX580 does VR (steam/ Oculus) gaming do able on a "older system" (Yes I got one for referance). there is no upside in this card.
The rx580 is much better but you can’t buy one for anything near this price, like I said if you have a card already this isn’t for you, but if you are buying new or doing a new build it is this or the gtx1650 if you can find one, and that is it

Asus cards are definitely a cut above the others! I can see prices creeping down hopefully I'll grab one if they go on offer.
