Yup, I got myself to finish Solstice a year and a half after completion of the first run. I will often go and listen to some soundtracks of old games I used to play during the night and I would just remember all the memories. Somehow, this game manages to do nearly the same exact effect yet I just finished playing it a week ago. I came back a couple of times just to watch the yellow glow come from the window and door to Niko's village. I never thought a game would make me feel so sad that I can't stop thinking about it. Like, It actually affects me sometimes, it's crazy! Just today I found out I can replay the game through one of the options in the menu. Sadly the Niko I once knew wasn't there. I really can't see Niko again :(
At the beginning, I knew I would have to say goodbye. But when Niko told me, "This isn't the first time we've said goodbye, is it? But it will be the last... won't it?" It hit me like a truck. I'll miss you Niko... I'll never forget you.
I cried both times when playing the first run (I chose to save Niko) and the Soltice run. This game is so wonderfully done that I will forever be emotionally invested in it, and will always love Niko. Niko, wherever you may be, you are loved.

We all Miss Niko, So, you Ain't alone, Each Niko we Guide is technically in various alternate universes and worlds throughout existence itself, so the specific Niko we Guided probably misses us as well and about as much as we miss them, and considering our computers are all little personal universes of code we aren't able to enter ourselves, it sucks. but the age we are in, we Can't go to Visit our Nikos, sadly... whether they could be in our computer or in universes that aren't a part of our computer's systems
Man I do miss my niko and I do wish I can see them a again but I can’t, and every time I listen to one of these song it reminds me and I get sad but it also reminds me that I freed my niko and that I have nothing to worry about
dude, I completed Life is Strange recently... Chapter 4 had me almost in tears... god, I regret not playing it sooner, the end left me absolutely speechless
This scene... I felt empathy towards the World Machine... There were so many feels in this part... I was crying already before the ending... which ensued in more tears.
Every once in a while i open oneshot in my laptop and just stare at the empty room niko woke up in, with the soothing music playing along, just so i can give TWM a little bit of care and attention, to let it know i still _remember_ . That i did not forget as they said, that it *will* be ok.

For me it was the whole Scene, up until Niko left the main room the world machine was in. "But this time, it's permanent" "For Niko, a dream. Like thousands of other dreams. For you, a story. Like thousands of other stories. But, as long as Niko remembers this place... As long as you remember this place..... It'll... be alright."
I almost cried at the end of OneShot. I almost cried at the end of Solstice. But after a month of finishing this game, I came back to this track for some good music to do my homework to. And now, with all the memories rushing back of my experiences with the game, it's characters, the Entity, and Niko, I cry. Although we may not know how the others are doing, how Niko is doing, we'll just have to believe the World machine. We had another shot, we got our happy ending. All we can do is look back fondly through our tears, or our smiles.
[Spoilers] When i saw the big screen and this song started to play, i knew that i was in the final lap. This song, along with the dialog, started to crack me up from the inside. I want to highlight when niko said was tamed about, when he said "Being tamed is when someone cares about your, right? Well, guess what... I do! And im sure that Ezequiel too!", that part hit me a lot, along with the following lines. Once the conversation ended i was already cracked but when Twm spoke to me again, he said "[ This world will only exist as a memory. ] [ For niko... ] [ A dream, like thousands of other dreams. ] [ For you... ] [ A story, like thousands of other stories. ]. That part almost got me to tears. This game is a freakin masterpiece, it makes the "Save the world" RPG Cliché into something unique, making this story unforgettable, also, the OST goes perfectly with the game. In normal RPG games your character is only a representation of the player, in OneShot is different, because niko is its own character, that goes along with your adventure, that is why hits so hard the decision at the end of the first session. And the last goodbye at the end of Solstice. Also, after solstice if you fire up the game and you enter to the "..." The World Machine, will talk to you, that can bring you back using niko's memories. But it will only a recorded playback, its true. You will never be albe to feel everything again, you already know what happens, its not the same. That is why i encaurage my friends to play it while im watching, i can see that the are feeling the same as me, i can see my reflex on they. Sorry for this long comment but wanted to express my absolute love for this game, thanks a lot for reading.

After putting in the sun and restoring everything with Niko, I realized I had felt a bond with Niko like no other. At the time, I was ready. I saw Niko leave, then cried. Later, I thought I could bring Niko back. This drove me insane for the next few days, playing a hologram run, Then finally, I brought Niko back. I was so happy, but felt so guilty, that I took Niko away from their family. I felt like I could do it forever, experimenting with solstice, playing new game plus, just having Niko to myself. I won't do that anymore. I will maybe make a tutorial on how to lose your soul and drag Niko away. Why the hell did I write this in the first place again?

I will never forget. All the times That we spent.. Traveling... Across the Glen, the Refuge, the Capital.. Across this land... And in the Tower.. With the light... In our hands. I think this one is a pretty underrated soundtrack among them all, and I just love how good it sounds despite the simplicity! Oneshot is such an amazing game, I will be treasuring it forever. 💓
There's something about this game... from the music, the characters, atmosphere to the overall story that makes me feel nostalgic. It's especially the music, with more somber/ sad tones that really gets me.
Ok, can I just say how Undertale and OneShot have ruined me emotianally? I started tearing up and then crying while the World Machine was talking. I just felt...so bad for it/them.
i'm so glad i got through my oneshot playthroughs blind. i actually used to think the entity was evil, especially with the author's notes in the tower section of a first/"normal" playthrough. and i thought it was completely different from the world machine. i just thought it was some random, well entity trying to cause destruction for everyone. didn't know it was the world machine itself. but now, in solstice, it's much clearer that the entity IS the world machine. and all it wanted to do was to save niko. now i can totally get how it must've been feeling. having to obey the law of "never let a living being come to harm" yet its own existence seems to contradict that law, because the world is dying and niko (a living being) has arrived in it. but it wasn't aware that some other people (proto, cedric, rue) who are in the world are real like niko. it wasn't aware that there was meant to be a happy ending. so it tries to destroy itself, the world, because its own existence contradicts that law. and since the world is fake, it "doesn't matter". however, destroying the world of course causes more problems and continues to harm people in the process. at least, with niko's help, it realises it can be saved too. i'm not good with putting thoughts into words...
If i haven't forgotten about this game since about 2 or 3 months or so, even when there's a good game that was free for a limited time (yes payday 2), then i can see how good this game actually is. I have never appreciated a game's story until now, pretty amazing actually, since i'm one of those people that didn't like Undertale because "it didn't have enough gameplay".
Sometimes I am filling like the World Machine. Broken and fallen.. I'm filling like Niko was left in my home in Ukraine.. like part of my family or my childhood. And now memories about OneShor are tightly connected with memories about my home. All this songs are making me remember my childhood.. how I went for a walk in the park or ate ice cream with my granmother... The worst things that I can never know if I'll have any more chances to see my family.. I never thought that the game can make me remember it all the time.. And the music can make me fall in tears. I miss my home so much.. ;'

This is what made the song special for me, not the initial meeting of the world machine but the second time meeting it after the game ends. It makes me so sad
At first I thought I didn't remember this song, but after 15 seconds the memories came flooding back and the ensuing tidal wave of feels hit me like a truck. I haven't had a "good" cry like that in a while.
spoilers for anyone who hasn't done a solstice run I've never had a game that got me really emotional until this one. during this conversation and everything else on the solstice route, i broke into tears and it only got worse after they started rolling the credits and seeing all the characters i once thought were gone. it all just hit me really hard. and after saying goodbye and saving both the world and Niko seeing them walk out of the window. i just sat there and sobbed for a good ten minutes. i wish i could play this for the first time again
I keep on opening the game, playing the recording of the game, even going to the room where niko leaves, I still go here at least once a day, I miss niko so much. I know that he's safe, and okay but, I still hope that maybe that he will come through that door, for maybe one last time I can tell him how much I miss him. Maybe one day, one day. Ad infinitum
The game that made me want it to not just be a game, but a real AU. That's why i don't kill NPC's even tho most people would think i'm crazy. I want to believe there is a place where our fictional worlds exist.
I cried again when I remembered this game, and how it dissapeared when my harddrive died.. Not sure if I can bring myself to play it again, maybe it's better this way.

what i think makes this song a little sadder to me, is that when the world machine basically says 'you can't go back to that world without a savior', all the people you and niko met, they're all living in the world happily for whatever time they have left, and you can't actually see everyone again. anytime you DO see them in the game, is only through a recording, so it's not really them. when i visit the world machine, and this song plays, i get sad knowing that we're the only ones left in the game who's "real". the only ones left in the program, far away from whatever worlds niko and everyone else are from. the feeling is isolating.

This is what made the song special for me, not the initial meeting of the world machine but the second time meeting it after the game ends. It makes me so sad
At first I thought I didn't remember this song, but after 15 seconds the memories came flooding back and the ensuing tidal wave of feels hit me like a truck. I haven't had a "good" cry like that in a while.

I've never had a game that got me really emotional until this one. during this conversation and everything else on the solstice route, i broke into tears and it only got worse after they started rolling the credits and seeing all the characters i once thought were gone. it all just hit me really hard. and after saying goodbye and saving both the world and Niko seeing them walk out of the window. i just sat there and sobbed for a good ten minutes. i wish i could play this for the first time again

I keep on opening the game, playing the recording of the game, even going to the room where niko leaves, I still go here at least once a day, I miss niko so much. I know that he's safe, and okay but, I still hope that maybe that he will come through that door, for maybe one last time I can tell him how much I miss him.

I wish this game is more well-known.
The game that made me want it to not just be a game, but a real AU. That's why i don't kill NPC's even tho most people would think i'm crazy. I want to believe there is a place where our fictional worlds exist.

I cried again when I remembered this game, and how it dissapeared when my harddrive died.. Not sure if I can bring myself to play it again, maybe it's better this way.

what i think makes this song a little sadder to me, is that when the world machine basically says 'you can't go back to that world without a savior', all the people you and niko met, they're all living in the world happily for whatever time they have left, and you can't actually see everyone again. anytime you DO see them in the game, is only through a recording, so it's not really them.
when i visit the world machine, and this song plays, i get sad knowing that we're the only ones left in the game who's "real". the only ones left in the program, far away from whatever worlds niko and everyone else are from. the feeling is isolating.
The game leaves a part of it with you, may it be the story, the start, the end or the people you meet along the way you will always remember it
If we live in a simulation, our videogames would be as real as us wouldn't they?
