Much as I love Bisping, I've never fully understood why more wasn't made of his ability to pass several medical tests without them detecting he was blind in one eye. I don't think it's on the fighter to reveal every injury or medical issue to the doctors, but how on earth were the tests unable to pick up something as profoundly affecting as monocular blindness.
yeah, his journey to gold is one of the best fighter stories out there but it just shows how flawed the medical testing is to not detect his blindness.

I was working at THQ when the rights to the UFC games transferred over. We found out when Dana White appeared on the EA stage at a gaming convention and we were sitting at our desks shocked given he swore he'd NEVER go to EA after they turned him down.
Not surprising unfortunately. Shame though, the THQ games were lit and the first EA was pre school level in comparison.

@Malus That is the REMAINING drug in his system at the time of testing. It confirms that he WAS on the drug. Go look up half life, and how the liver works. You might learn something.

Those picograms were indicative of him having consumed an illegal substance to get an advantage during the training camp and weight cuts. The physical attributes will remain longer than the drug’s half life

And idk. I like hunt. Dude is absolutely a legend of the sport. But I just don't know if there is enough meat on that bone to make a full episode. (They recently did a whole episode about cheating a hydration test so maybe I'm wrong) but until something significant happens with the case, it's just a footnote or an entry into a longer list of things. I fully support mark hunt and think he got done dirty by the UFC brass but I don't know if it's worth a full episode right now. (there hasn't been any major developments in the case, has there? It's been pretty quiet lately...)

When I was deployed in Afghanistan in 2014 we got cases of xyience. Didn't think anything of it because 1. We were used to getting cases of random stuff like Girl Scout Cookies, Boy Scout popcorn, etc., and 2. We were used to having all kinds of energy drinks/supplements passed out more than fresh water.
All I remember was it tasting weird and not dissolving completely... But then again it was expired and the water we were drinking was giving us dysentery 10% of the time soo.... I can't necessarily pass judgment.
Actually, might have been my first deployment in 2012 that we got the xyience. Idfk, my brain damage from TBI is on par with Holloway at this point 😅

If you have the guts to slap someone you are not defenseless. Women are not children. You don't hit ANYONE and not expect an immediate receipt. It's just not logical behavior. Being the "fairer" sex should never give you a pass.

@@BiggieTrismegistus I don't know man... It's about threat levels. A slap like that is hardly enough of a threat to retaliation like that. You, as a man, should be able to identify where violence needs applied and at what level. In my opinion, a slap in the face is an act of disrespect and less an act of violence. It's a step above pushing someone but a step below punching. If a woman pushed you, pushing her back would be a disproportionate reaction, to me.... Men typically have a massive physical advantage so reacting the same way is not equal.

Dana not getting torn apart more for his DV incident actually doesn't shock me. Every apology he has (when compared to many celeb apologies) was actually one of the best, and his wife hit him first so that atleast gives some doubt to it being a normal occurrence since he reacts really quick to it, or it's a mutually abusive relationship. He definitely doesn't deserve to live it down though.

They found out he placed a huge bet against one of his fighters who was injured going into the bout. Now there’s a federal investigation to see if this is the only instance of it happening and how deep it goes. Personally I’m surprised they haven’t suspected TJ and his team for the exact same thing
