    How long will the SSD survive ? I think this could lead to problems sooner or later. SSD's only have a limited number of write operations.

      People have been using SSD's for more than 10 years as a main drive on computers, so for me the performance is worth it, it will definitely fetch playback much faster than a HDD. Just saw that the SSD seems to be directly soldered onto the board so that's a bit of a let down, bigger faff to get it changed when if it goes wrong than a HDD.

    DVS if you can suggest the things you said in the video to Hikvision that would be great, I'd also add if they can make the SSD a M.2 one which can be replaced easily, even the shorter ones (M.2 2230, 2242 etc) that would be great, unless they had good reason to be using an integrated SSD like the chips are better for constant video recording then its understandable

    Not exactly cheap.I have just checked the price on these on your website.Same price bracket as the 7204HUHI-M1P(C)
    with a 1TB hard drive.
    The only advantage would be the small form factor.

    Hi there. Just came across your channel while researching for POE cameras. Which Hikvision or Dahua POE camera (bullet) with DVR would you recommend for Home security with Facial recognition,Human/Vehicle detection. Thanks.

    Did I hear correct that huhi is no good for 8MP cameras? If not what is a good DVR?

      HTHI series can handle 8MP resolution upto 12FPS. HTHI series available in India, don't know about other countries.

    "Zero Hard drive" with a 1TB SSD hard drive. Come on Dai you're slipping :D

    • @sebbroski6144
      @sebbroski6144 ปีที่แล้ว

      It prob just works as a buffer in case of a net drop between online storage and the unit itself

    • @CrazedCrittic
      @CrazedCrittic ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sebbroski6144 you only need a maximum of 50mb for a buffer as its designed to cache the RAM to assist the CPU while it writes to disk (or uploads to an FTP server). 1000 gigabytes as buffer is "slightly excessive" :)
