need help, i have the same nvr that i just bought along with Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD-I 4MP. I went through the menu, but i can see camera live feed via tv. Any suggestions?
I really appreciate the video as I have a Hikvision I need to configure. But to be honest it might have been better to format the hard drives to stop the beeping and go through the procedure so the machine wouldn't beep constantly while you were talking. You could have simply re-formatted the hard drives and explained it beeps instead of having it doing it through the video. It is like fingernails on a chalkboard trying to watch the video and listen to you with the constant beeping. Again- I appreciate the time you took but it would have been better to per-configure the hard drives before you started so the machines beeping wouldn't be so painfully distracting to the video. The beeping really makes the video painful to watch.
hey it has been 8 years since you commented here, but do you have any idea of formatting the hard drive? my family just wanted to set up this really old camera and it's the same as I have seen in the video. if you're still here, I would appreciate your answer
Thanks for your instruction to setup NVR. I have and issues that camera detection failed. I installed six cameras and one is start to not detect. And then I made factory setup. Now all cameras are not detecting...how do I overcome this issue
HI, i just bought this nvr and some hikvision mini dome ptz cameras. i got the nvr connected to my network. is there anyway to access to the ip cameras individually through my network ( locally/lan) and configure some something in the webconfig page. for examen, reaching an ip camera from my computer wich is connected to the same network as my nvr.
very useful video , I have a question what is the best config for recording parameters supposed I have 1080p camera with 1TB HardDisk I need the recording to last as long as possible ex like one month ..
Hello! Very helpful video. I have a problem with connecting to EZVIZ. It says that in the settings it has to show you that it's connected. After reading the manual like 10-20 times and doing the same over and over again it still doesn't show me that there is connection. Do you know what it may be? Thank you for your attention.
Install these systems quite frequently but never the live viewing over internet side of things. Using a BT router do you have a guide for setting this up, not very clued up on the ip addresses and forwarding ports ect Thanks in advance
I don't have a BT router to make a video but if anyone cares to send me one I can make a video. I believe in the BT router you have to create a 'service' first, (creates a port forward rule) THEN apply that rule to the IP address of the recorder.
I have the same NVR as this, and I've connected 5x Hikvision Cameras with no drama. I'm wanting to connect 3x non Hikvision PTZ cameras as well, but can't work out how to do this. They are all POE with their own power supplies. Any help would be very much appreciated.
On any Hikvision NVR , Hikvision PTZ cameras are just Plug n play with no settings refinements required. Just make sure that the power requirement of The PTZ cameras is sufficient as most larger ones require at least 30W which will require an additional POE Injector or 24v PSU both available on our website www.netviewcctv.co.uk
Thanks very much for your reply. Yes I realize the power requirements of PTZ cameras can be quite high, and one of the cameras I have is rated at 40 watts. Fortunately the cameras I have came with their own power supplies. These cameras don't want to work as plug and play like my Hikvision cameras. I have read of others having the same problem I'm having, but can't find any solution. Have you ever thought of doing a step by step video of adding non Hickvision cameras? Can anyone else offer any solutions?
for non Hikvision PTZ cameras go to camera management and choose the relevant channel then cl;lick edit at the top. Change the IP address to that of the camera, Change the protocol to that of the camera, then enter the username/password and click save. (for standard cameras choose ONVIF protocol if not listed)
Could have done without the bleeping for 11 minutes and at 13 minutes you repeated what you had already done in the setup. Still very helpful just painful to listen on headphones unless volume turned down The best bit is you spent ages talking about updating but if people purchase from you it comes updated anyway making that section redundant
hello sir i am using DS 7608 /8P nvr it was working since 2 weeks .but suddenly its port lights off in 2 hours ago .i dont know nvr have power but not booting cameras .please can you help me .i am using 6 IP cam about 3 MP now no one is working .please hope you will reply as soon you can.thanks
+Samsul Rasel , The 7200 series is a DVR for analogue cameras with limited bandwidth for IP cameras. I believe it will only handle up to 1.3mp IP cameras.
this is the a hard dvr to setup that I have own it like instruction for none professional tech. need to have step by step guide and not just pointing at a picture need voice instruction
no se deberia permitir estos tutorialespara sordomudos, deben tener audio, las explicaciones deben tener audio,la persona mueve el cursor del mouse,y nadie sabe porque elige tal o cual opcion,no sirve de mucho.

Any idea what causes frames to skip? For example, someone goes out the door and the next frame shows them 50 feet ahead?
Generally insufficient bandwith, try reducing the bitrate for each camera
