  • This vlog is story of our first weekend in Canada where we went house-hunting and to the bank to open our accounts and get a credit card. We talk about the challenges and provide suggestions that would help you in your early days in Toronto / Canada.

In this video we are sharing step by step process to apply for Canada PR via express entry. Watch the video till the end if you are looking for information on "how to get Canada PR", "how to move to Canada", "how to come to Canada" or "Canada PR cost and timelines"
We don't like immigration agents! We are a young couple who started their Canadian Immigration journey in 2018 and will be moving to Canada early 2020. Over the course of our application, we have seen so many people getting screwed over by greedy / fraudulent immigration consultants who promise you the world in exchange for thousands of dollars and deliver a whole lot of bullshit; to an extent that in many cases, the applications get rejected, due to their negligence.
Therefore, we are taking matters in our own hands. After months of research and our own experience of applying for a Canadian PR, we came up with an e-book series & this TH-cam channel which would include - errors to avoid, perfect sample documents and alternate ways of immigrating to Canada - 100 pages of absolute goldmine between these 3 e-books - no filters, no premium versions to these ebooks... everything is out there.. in the open, for you to read and execute the process yourself! The TH-cam channel will compliment the e-book and add some personality and entertainment to the entire process :-)
Volume 1: Step by step express entry process from know nothing about immigration all the way to getting an invitation to apply (ECA, IELTS etc). Download here - www.potatotalkies.com/
Volume 2: Post ITA express entry process - documentation, samples, POF, Proof of work, medical, biometrics all the way to getting a stamped passport ;-) Download here - www.potatotalkies.com/
Volume 3: Alternate ways of moving to canada | Provincial Nominee program - OINP, AINP, MPNP, NSNP, SINP, RNIP and more. Download here - www.potatotalkies.com/
Save your money, and if you find these e-books useful, do not forget to buy us a coffee when you reach Canada :-)

Markham is a good location compared to Etobicoke. As a new comer still its better to chose North York, Mid Town and Scarborough for better public transportation. In addition try to switch to another bank after you settle down(within 1 month after pandemic spread is controlled). Scotiabank wont benefit you much. Try Cibc or RBC. Good luck

What is the preferred way to open bank accounts? What I meant is that, did you all open two separate accounts for both of you or one joint account for both of you? And did you all get two credit cards for the same account? TIA :)

If you are a teacher - then yes all degrees. Else, only BA ans MA from ces will be good

You should book an Airbnb for a month...that will give you ample time to explore for apartment after your quarantine. You can find listings on jijiji, facebook marketplace

Hi man, my WES results are out.
It’s showing “bachelor degree (3 years) and bachelor’s degree (4 years)”
They have considered by MBA as 4 years bachelors degree.
Now Can I consider this result as 2 or more degrees ?

They considered my 2 years MBA program as 4 years graduation degree. It happens with many. Don’t know how they evaluate

It’s important to register your presto online, so if in case you lose the card you can block it right away and not lose funds.. also try transit app..

Please make a video on this topic too once landing canada where one can reside till he/she finds rented property. As I am planning to come canada by my wife so eager to know how we will survive.

    • @Potatotalkies

We stayed in an airbnb for the first 18 days, to give us time to look for accomodation. We have a video on that too

Thank you very much for giving your valuable time from your busy schedule and replying on my query.
One more query I have as I said earlier in my last query that I am planning to come with my wife so, is it important or necessary to give her IELTS or apply for ECA? As we are planning that we both will work there as she also carry Bachelor's degree.
If possible please make one video considering that if anyone coming with their family or with his/her husband/wife then what steps should one take in that case.

One suggestion ... turn off the mirror setting on the selfie camera on the phone or whatever camera you use.. it shows things in reverse... a bit annoying. Great videos though.. wish you guys all the very best for your life in Canada.
