I would use the Novablasts for putting on sore feet post marathon. I would use glideride for easy, tempo and speedwork. Can hold 4:15/k for 4 hours in the glideride3. Can hold 4:15 for about 4 minutes in the novablast.

I got the GlideRide 3 recently because of your glowing review (amongst some other very positive reviews) and I absolutely love it. It really does feel and ride like the ultimate long distance cruiser. And I have the Novablast 3 which has a completely different feel and ride, which I also love. They complement each other very well. I also like the feel and ride of the GR3 better but the NB3 is more versatile. The best possible thing to do is get both and rotate depending on what you feel like doing or the type of ride you want on a given day.

Okay, now! I a recent sale I picked up the Novablast 3 and did my first run in these shoes today. My favourite shoes of 2023 (and still) have been the Glideride 3 since my purchase in March 23. After all the NB3 reviews I was quite disappointed today. Compared to my Glideride 3 the run wasn’t only firmer but also slower, quite the opposite of what I love on my Glideride 3. The Glideride 3 are comfy for my 96kg but give me a good pace as well, just love them and don’t get why they are obviously discontinued.
The NB3 on the other hand remind me more on my Evoride 3 which I only take for shorter but faster run.
It seems I need to get another pair of Glideride 3 before my current pair dies the foam death.

The Glideride 3 feels unlike any other shoe I've tried, to me this was not a good thing. It doesn't feel like a normal trainer and feels very strange if you just want to walk around in it. Mainly this is due to the very pronounced rocker and also the midsole around the ball of the foot felt very noticeable unlike other shoes. For some odd reason review I've seen really mentions this. It felt what I imagine 'Jimmys shoes' that Kramer wore on Seinfeld are like.Personally I prefer something that feels more natural which is pretty much any other shoe Ive tried including Puma Velocity Nitro, NB More V3, 1080v12, Asics Cumulus 24 and so on. Not saying the Glideride is a bad shoe, it's just very very different and certainly not for everyone despite all the positive reviews on youtube.

Fordy, I am a heavy runner, 220 lbs. Half Marathon and 10 K pace, and Vaporfly or Endorphine Speed are great. But they just dont work in marathon pace. But marathon racing, and marathon pace, I am starting to look for a non plated option. The plates or squishy foams dont give me any more "endurance" in that pace. It feels unstable and the heel just compress to much. What non plated shoe do you think would be best for a marathon for a heavy runner? Are Glideride 3, Novablast 3 or for example the Saucony Guide 15 , an option?

The key to losing weight is keeping your insulin levels low, so you’ve got to adopt intermittent fasting and a low carb diet. Also if you can build up some muscle mass through strength training, that will also help stabilize your metabolism as well as expending more energy even at rest. At 51 years old I dropped about 50 pounds in under 6 months using plenty of running and strength training as well as fasting and a low carb diet.

I had the NB1 and sold them QUICK after finding them sooooo unstable. Never had my foot about come out of any shoe in my life going around a turn. PROMPTLY sold them. Just ran in the GR1 today for the first time, and it was pretty good.

There's more divided opinion on the Novablast 3 than the Messi v Ronaldo debate......

Funny because from all reviews I've seen this is the only shoe where opinion is not divided. Literally haven't seen a single bad review anywhere.

@@Kaisersozze A few reviewers seem underwhelmed and have called it the most hyped shoe of the year. Many have commented that it's not great when you want to up the pace. That's my take from the 3 million reviews that I've seen/read on the NB3.
