      Hi, at 2:48mins how did you scale up the plane without going into the actual parameters of the plane? I don't seem to have those tiny square handles to drag the scale up/down, I just see the 3D arrows to change the placement of the plane in 3D space. Many thanks!

    One thing to add is it's a good idea to put a character into your scene to get an idea of how they are going to look with the lighting. Otherwise you spend a bunch of time getting things 'correct', only to realize your character doesn't look good with the lighting you've picked.

    Hi, why not using the ghost light kit instead ? It does exactly the same and it has other surface properties predefined for nice diffuse natural lighting, and it also creates the primitive predifined as white emission color so you don't have to do it everytime

    why use a primitive when you can use an hdri? is the primitive better then a hdri?

    • @rdaughterdaz
      @rdaughterdaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you can use the primitive to give light 💡,, to a specific area of your scene,, that’s really useful when you need light for your scene, i mean indoor scene,, as i show you on this video, so,, using an HDRI map for outdoor is useful,, but for interior no! that’s why you need to play with emission (emissive light)

      @@rdaughterdaz thank you for the response, ye i watched your vid, but my question is, you can rotate the sun from an hdri to make light shine through the window in the envoriment settings, so why is a primitive (outside of the window) better then an hdri. (im talking about the primitive you put outside to replicate the sun)
