Aside from being well made song for non-finnish speakers - you could only guess what's about the visuals. As far as we can understand meaning of the ban signs, with translated lyrics it makes more sense.
Tuoni is the god of the underworld in Finnish folklore. Räsäinen Risti means ragged cross and Puuristi is wooden cross and there was a lot of "Ei saa..." which means "you cannot..." but it was difficult to follow the words with the limited Finnish I have I haven't worked in Finland for nearly twenty years!
This song is basically about a Finnish politician Päivi Räsänen. Räsäinen risti is a play on words referring to her. She is subject of many Finnish memes because she is extremely conservative and religious and known for wanting to ban all "fun" things like alcohol, tobacco and gay sex. :D
Puuristiltä räsäinen päiviltä lyö.. in finland, we have Christian politician, who say: ei! = no! To all thinks. And her name is Päivi Räsänen. So there is funny name translate to that päivi. 2meaning words. And song, there is many things: En saa ryypätä En saa polttaa Ei saa Jussia edes juhlia Ei kohta kaljoja osteta kioskilta Eikä saluunassa neloseen hilluta.. Etc.. And english: I'm not allowed to drink I'm not allowed to smoke I'm not even allowed to celebrate with midsummer I'm not going to buy beer from the kiosk and I'm not going to get drunk in the. saloon. Because, Päivi want to say NO, to all.. Mayby band thinks different, but i think that way.. Just google her name and see memes 😁 Btw, good song!
Tuoni also made a pretty good Prodigy cover of their song "Breathe". Its called "Piina" and it means "torment".
Nice to see this song in your channel. Funny review
I'm not the biggest fan of metalcore and groove metal, but this song was actually pretty good. The chorus really raises the bar for it, I feel.
