for those of you who haven't come out to the parents but want to bind I would recommend putting a sports bra on then putting a sports bra on backwards!
They sell a new type of sports bra called “compression sports bra”. If you have a smaller chest A to almost B, the compression sports bra will give you a fairly flat chest. However, if you have a panic disorder, they it might not work as they are fairly tight.

I'm very late but for anyone that sees this,please don't do that. It's very dangerous. It restricts your breathing. Granted,not as much as a binder but it isn't built to make your chest flat. I highly recommend going through the appropriate channels to flatten your chest

Please do NOT wear a sports bra under your binder. A very thin undershirt will do.
EnterTaine Well, wearing a sports bra under could actually make the chest look less flat - quite counter productive. While a sports bra does compress, it also pushes up. And double binding is never a good idea - it'd kinda be like buying a binder too small on purpose. It could hurt you and cause breathing problems. I understand why you would think to put a sports bra beneath, but it's best not to in regards to your health.

That's pretty normal. There are (at least to me) a surprising amount of cis and trans women who don't want or like breasts.
Maybe it's just my area, but apparently they do sell chest binders at a few Walmarts? They're not the best, let alone as good Underworks or GC2B, but they're something.

I wore my binder for a mouth straight like to sleep and stuff and I took it off to compare it to the gc2b ones. And I released I had huge bruises and sores on my chest and under it! My bf, he is also trans, yelled at me for not listening when he tells me to take it off. But...I learned my lesson haha 😅
Yeah.... you definitely *don't* want to spend more that 8 to 10 hours wearing a binder especially to sleep cause it can actually damage your lungs and harm your chest. Please do not do that ever again
You can ruin chances of top surgery and this comes from experience

I am blessed with having about a b cup sized chest. I'm gonna talk to my parents in getting a GC2B binder, I've been eyeing one for a while. Hopefully the conversation is not too awkward. (Note: they do know I am trans so don't worry)

I find that wearing a compression top/rashguard helps flatten my chest even more, and I have a muscle tank version which I can wear without my binder showing. I also have a T shirt version, which is also good. It's also just good for hot weather or as an undershirt/vest for me.
i came out to my mom 2 days ago, and she ordered me a binder from gc2b :) it has the trans pride colors, and i’m really excited to get it !!!

I'm going to try to get a binder (Or enough money for one) for my birthday in two months! I've noticed that underworks binders are a little more expensive than some other binders. Is it worth the extra money to go for underworks binders?
Thats awesome! I have not had a binder yet :( but from my nonbinary friend they say that underworks works best for smaller and larger chests, and gc2b is for more average chests. Do not get a cheap amazon or wish binder they are terrible and do not stretch and you will not be able to breathe. Good luck!

I don't know if gc2b has changed their tank lengths or something, or maybe it's just because I'm chubby but I'm a 4'10" guy and my size L white and grey tanks are both only hip-length on me and I have an issue occasionally with them coming out of the top of my jeans (which I wear at the waist) so..?

hey, late reply but you could probably use safety pins to pin the binder and pants together, and just wear a longer shirt. just make sure you don't poke yourself lmao
You should wash and dry it by hand. It won’t stretch as much and will last longer.
is it bad to bind when your chest is still developing because then you would have to buy a new one every year?

echelon aino Both, then add, and divide by two, then you have your chest measurement. Then also measure your shoulder length

Both gc2b & Underworks ship their binders worldwide, but there is also a newer company based in the UK called Spectrum Outfitters that make binders identical to gc2b. I personally have not purchased a binder from Spectrum Outfitters, so I cannot give you much insight on the company as a whole, but it may be something that works out better for you based on your location.
Does the mesh of the gc2b binder go on your back or chest?
Im pretty sure the mesh goes on the back and the non stretchy part goes over the chest.
Do you still have the XS binder?

In gc2b sizes, I’m around a 34 B and I’m a small so probably you will but always check your measurements and make sure it’s the correct size
KENNEDEATH I’m also a 32 C and 5’0, and I got a large binder for my friend who is 36 C (& 5’4) .. but when I tried on the large to stretch it out for them before they received it, it fit quite perfectly (which was surprising, but it wasn’t loose or anything.. it fit perfectly)
KENNEDEATH but the bottom line is at most I think you should go down to a medium.. because I don’t think a small would fit. I’m no expert, but I’m just guesstimating here..

i have the problem of living in Canada so my mum just does not want to risk having to pay customs fees, so she does not want to use gc2b even if it ain't her money, she also said something about supporting a Canadian thing Instead of something from the US and she's just confusing me

I want to get binder, but I'm afraid my chest won't be completely flat because I'm fat. So how can i choose chest binder size to get flat looking chest?
Apperently gc2b works really well for bigger people too. And I know this doesn't sound so helpful and will take a lot of work and time, but losing weight actually helps you (personally I lost quite a lot of weight and my boobs didn't bother me that much anymore since they got a lot smaller).
In no way to offend but you should bind for your body type, if you were overweight you wouldn't have a completely flat chest, AGAIN I DO NOT WANT TO OFFEND ANYONE

I was somehow sure Underworks was the exact thing i needed until i started reading mixed reviews, so i ended up here and now i'm pretty sure i'm gonna find something from gc2b! so thank you c: I've never been able to afford a proper binder until now (thank u gf) and i can't wait to try it on aaaahh

+EnterTaine me too, but I try not to take it too personal since I know cis guys with long hair get mistaken for girls a lot as well. Wearing a SnapBack makes it 100 x better though, for some reason, people don't question me as much when I'm wearing a SnapBack. I think it's cause of the whole skater vibe it gives off. With my hair I usually just tuck it behind my ears and comb it back in the front and it works pretty well for me. Don't worry about appearing masculine, you already look super rad, if anyone says otherwise they're clearly the problem, not you.

I recently got a GC2B binder and found that the fabric of the neck sits really high on my shoulders, and sometimes shows even under T-shirts. When it doesn't, it's always very close to the neck. Do you have this problem with the GC2B? Is it a problem with the Underworks one, too?
+EnterTaine That's a shame; I don't have the patience to deal with lots of fabric moving around. I suppose I'll have to stick with GC2B and maybe modify the neck on one so I can wear it with shirts that don't have high collars, or buy a bigger size and take the sides in. Glad to know I'm not the only one having issues with the neck after seeing all those reviews praising GC2B for working with "practically all kinds of shirts", though.

hey, I'm 5'1 and I'm a medium! :) It doesn't only have to do with your chest - I for example have a pretty average chest size, but I have a rather broad torso. If your measurements say medium, that's what is going to fit you the best. If not, you can always return it and ask for another size.
