The past of music seems like an unlimited universe...I just scratched the surface with Japan recently...Casiopea, Hiroshi Sato, Makoto Matsushita, Cosmos etc...Just a few to name.
There's a sound. It's a nostalgic, sentimental, moody, and dreamlike sound of the past. Of childhood. I've never heard this song before but this is that sound.
I found this tune a couple years ago and us to listen to it when doing long runs, it was great in the sunshine. But I’m keen music collector and can’t seem to find fucking anything about this band/group. Anyone got any decent websites, articles etc to read. Or just anything info on “Blue Gas”. This is such a mad tune, I can’t imagine this is only banger they made. Peace and love everyone 🤙
I'm not sure how I only discovered this in early 2020, but it's never left my head since then and I have to get back to it once every two weeks. What a fucking beauty of a tune.
I love this so much. This song is like a hug by a white noise cloud. I play it when I'm miserable at my office desk and float away in this melancholy that makes me so happy. And then I ask myself..is this song even real? And then I go on discos and it's $200+ and there I know it's real. so close but yet unreachable...like the shadows from nowhere ............
Fully beautiful record. Lucky enough to own a copy on wax. Those synth stabs flip the whole mood of the song and the mood of the music sits perfectly with the lyrics.
When you walked across the crowded midnights square One table held an empty chair Change of solitaire Now I see your smile in fading photographs And how we thereby use the past To wipe away a year As the music from the cafés played in time I watched you turn your gaze from mine Passion blows away And I switch my mind to memory again The days are cold and you’d pretend That you didn't hear And then I stop stop Shadows from nowhere, Calling me I can't stop, stop Shadows from nowhere, I look but you're not there I can't stop, stop, Shadows from nowhere, Calling me I can't stop, stop Shadows from nowhere, in shapes of you, as if you care When the nights pass by too slowly to be shared I look for clues you're in the air The scent you always wear On the mirror lipstick tells of false affairs The words in red only declare Another souvenir Lying dreams of summer colours in your hair But under covers you're elsewhere (But under clovers you're elsewhere) Second-hand despair (second handed stare) So I put your picture in a different frame And hope that you won't look the same Shadows disappear And then I stop stop Shadows from nowhere, calling me I can't stop, stop Shadows from nowhere, I look but you're not there I can't stop, stop, Shadows from nowhere, calling me I can't stop, stop Shadows from nowhere, in shapes of you, as if you care Ohhhhh Chasing shadows I can't stop stop Shadows from nowhere
God damn good to be alive listening to music I am going to have burgers everyday and I'm going to flame up and cook them and grilling beautiful with some blue gas god bless TH-cam putting this out otherwise I would have never found out I'm hooked

It’s a shame it’s all compressed anymore, but at least we have it
I listen to this tune every night before going to sleep. I love it. Celso Valli production!

Totally get that.
yes, exactly! same thing happened to me when I heard it for the first time, it sounded so familiar
Yeah im so stoned right now
@@infinitesky-59 yes Curt, spot on 🤌🏻
Reminds me memories I've never heard ,that's the best way I can describe the feeling 😂
What a delightful tune! The falsetto vocal harmonies are most delicate and wonderfully crafted. I could definitely envision the Bee Gees singing this.
Charlie bones brought me here........like a lot of you have said - once heard, never forgotten!

Hoots mon. Natasha Raskin Sharp on Radio Scotland 28th Sep played it and gave some info at the end at 1:25:00. Yea a kinda special song.
This is probably the best song ever made in human music history
I also think that this could be the case.
The songwriting is so creative. Very powerful, imaginitive lyrics.

I stumbled on this completely by accident while on auto play. I'm so glad I did and now I'm hooked!
Me too!
Seriously one of the best songs
It's stuck in my head hahaha, this is so underrated
This sound like something you would hear in a end credits of a 80s movie where the protagonist is driving off into the sunset
Powerful 80s moments.

Hmm, lovely. Has a chilled out Bee-Gees-esque vibe...
always loved this one great vibe
Love this song
3:44 let's push this 'tune' to a million
❤❤❤
When you walked across the crowded midnights square
One table held an empty chair
Change of solitaire
Now I see your smile in fading photographs
And how we thereby use the past
To wipe away a year
As the music from the cafés played in time
I watched you turn your gaze from mine
Passion blows away
And I switch my mind to memory again
The days are cold and you’d pretend
That you didn't hear
And then I stop stop
Shadows from nowhere, Calling me
I can't stop, stop
Shadows from nowhere, I look but you're not there
I can't stop, stop,
Shadows from nowhere, Calling me
I can't stop, stop
Shadows from nowhere, in shapes of you, as if you care
When the nights pass by too slowly to be shared
I look for clues you're in the air
The scent you always wear
On the mirror lipstick tells of false affairs
The words in red only declare
Another souvenir
Lying dreams of summer colours in your hair
But under covers you're elsewhere (But under clovers you're elsewhere)
Second-hand despair (second handed stare)
So I put your picture in a different frame
And hope that you won't look the same
Shadows disappear
And then I stop stop
Shadows from nowhere, calling me
I can't stop, stop
Shadows from nowhere, I look but you're not there
I can't stop, stop,
Shadows from nowhere, calling me
I can't stop, stop
Shadows from nowhere, in shapes of you, as if you care
Ohhhhh Chasing shadows
I can't stop stop
Shadows from nowhere

You are a beautiful person.
I first listened this gem from Job jobse's Bloeemendal beach set. So beautiful, this feels like floating on the warm, calm waves.
What a track! Reminds me of better days
How can this song be so good?
Mellifluous! A bitter-sweet mix of blissful elation and dreamy reflection on one's feelings.
I would say my English is pretty decent but I've never once heard or seen "Mellifluous" before so I looked it up. Thanks for teaching me a new word, kind stranger :)

Not long from now, this will turn up in some Netflix movie, after which a myriad of cool dudes wonder why they never heard it before.
The uncool ones will just comment - XYZ series anyone ?
Or some big youtuber/streamer puts it in their video and a flood of comments reading "HELLO, [X] ARMY HERE!" will start to pop up.
Followed by quotes from said show/movie that make no sense out of context.
