I've been living vicariously through your videos while I wait to go home to work on my new R33 GTST. Working away from home sucks, but I'm heading back next week. Thanks for all you do, and all you've taught me Mike.
Man, if you're ever in Vagas. I know where a Z graveyard is. It's out of vegas, about 45 minutes, but it's so sad to see. And the guy won't sell any of them. 2 s30's, 7 z31's 20ish z32's 1 350 and they're just sitting in the sun.
Mike I have to say a big thank you it's because of your videos I've gotten my Audi running and driving I bought it not running and got it towed to my house and It turns out it was a fuel pump which I watched you do on the 240 and the 300zx so I got it all sorted now I'm getting it in for a road worthy inspection
Bruh these are my favorite Saturday morning vids now, absolutely love the wholesomeness of this channel. Really appreciate the shout out to Drift Games in the last vid too! Class move
The way you closed the hood on the 300zx by letting it fall fast but catching it b4 it hits slams you catch it n slowly lower it down really shows how much you love your vehicles! :D
22:31 a good trick is to heat the copper washer and drop it in water, that way it softens the metal again and it is good for another use. That only works with a copper ,not aluminium. Another note ,don’t heat it too much because it can deform.
I’m so happy the algorithm lead me to your channel a month ago or so. I’m a huge fan of what you do and how you inspire others. I’ve been out of the car scene since 2020 because I was under the trap of “you gotta pay to play”. Your videos have taught me that you don’t have to blow thousands to have a fun car. I’ve gotten back into the scene with my 08 Honda fit. Nothing crazy but it’s getting a foot back in the door. Thank you for the content, and keep up the great work.
Me and my girlfriend love wating your videos, she likes them for franzy but i watch for learning tips and just because its good content. keep up the good work, and from watching you im now more disiplend than ever when it come to my own car. thank homie
not much to do with the vid but wow. i cant belive its been almost 3 years since the accident of the 240sx, im so glad it was RHD and so glad you were ok and SO glad you bought it back from the insurance and saved it, now youre making a living out of youtube bc of it!
The brake pads reminded me of an issue I had with my Scion tc not long ago. Every time I braked the pedal would pulse and the car would shake a little. Warped rotors, right? Nope. Turns out, whoever did the last brake job before I got the car hadn't put any of the metal clips back in place to hold the pads on the front driver's side...meaning the pads were in there but pretty much just free-floating. I didn't quite make this 00:12 face but close to it.
Love your crew man, reminds me so much of my 20's, enjoy it to the most my man. I have this 2001 Cabrio in my garage that was gifted to me, gonna see if I can change its clutch and brakes, bleed the hydraulic system and get that puppy rolling, so I can sell it for something else. Really want a mini Toyota, Mazda or Nissan pickup but I love 80's junk so harder to find but I'll take some early 90's. When I first started watching drifting in the late 90's there was a drift Toyota Tacoma I would see at the grassroots events that I fell in love with. I have a soft spot for the Yotas out there.
My front ball joint let go on my Miata and made for a bad day. I’ve been putting off fixing it but you inspire me to get it done. If only it wasn’t raining. Driveway mechanic life.
Mike you have been a big inspiration to get me started on diy repairs. Im about to dive head first on changing all rotors and pads on my 94 bmw 520i e34 hope all goes well 😂. Keep up the good work!
The rack fittings I got from Sikky when I did my engine swap on my 240 were too short as well, and they leaked like a sieve. You can get the proper length fittings from Chase Bays. I swapped them in and haven't had problem since.
Suggestion for the wiring and connectors. 1st Electronic parts cleaner is your friend. Additionally Dielectric grease is a good thing (especially Marine rated)
I'm not a brake expert, but I've been doing some research for my own truck. The driver passenger for the rotors is so the slots on the face of the rotor can kind of clear any brake dust from the pads as they rotate. So if the slots are forward leading, in theory it kind of scrapes as it passes through the pads. If that makes sense.
Mike I’m really grateful for your content, because of you I did a twin turbo + rhd conversion on my 2001 Subaru legacy at home that I’m finishing the last details now, just awesome to see you doing your stuff, it really shows that just getting to it and doing it takes anyone really far, gives the motivation I was lacking
@19:48, you can bend a piece of metal, and wled it to the inner edges of the bracket so new bent metal is in same place as the rubber bushing. will last forever. f- the rubber.
i have one tip for you Mike if car wasnt driven in a while always pump up Gas Pedal bc trottle body valve choud be seised i do that always if my car was stored over winter and i had case of trottle body getting jammed closed and car didnt want to start
man i love your vids and your little pep talks, you make me want to work on my car but since its rare where i live there isnt a aftermarket scene for it but still keep it up ( id love to see a vid of you givin the 240 or z some tlc)
Bro, on your girls 240 loom with the intermittent tacho, see if you can get a replacement connector. Check the pins on the loom wires as you transfer them over & re-crimp a new pin on any suspect ones.
5:38 yup those are not oem lol. Oem ones are hex Phillips bolts. Also dude it's a bummer you had that shifter plate issue because (other than buying a new oem one) there was a solid shifter plate from zspeed that was a permanent fix but it's out of stock since last month. Idk if it'll come back.
Yep, tried getting ahold of one for my manual swap but could only find one from Japan for $500 on auction. Ended up actually ordering everything from the shifter plate to the rubber boots for that whole section from Japan and it cost me $100 for all 4 pieces that go there. Amayama is a savior. Just got all new roof trim and the T top hook for less than $450 shipped.
Put some dielectric grease in that speed sensor connector, that water proofs it as the grease will repel the moisture and isn't conductive so no shorts either. Learned this from 4x4 guys crossing rivers, and have myself used this in a slightly leaky mini cooper convertible that would have a bunch of things go crazy after the body control module got moisture in it Edit: you do mention it later lol
since the tbone 240 accident i always said your channel name like "pizzamike" instead of prizzamike. You dont understand how my world got rocked when i finally noticed a week ago. Anyways, keep up the good work!
I along with my mother have homies like him. Some of the best and kind hearted people ive ever met. Some people just seem to have got "good and lit" and never came all way back down to earth... maybe the voice of experience idk. That said keep up the hard and great work your doing man. Keeping us motivated is a full time job 🤣 atleast me. What you think of a motor swap your rhd in a ol' nissan hardbody pickup, kinda like a street drift car like yours?
16:45 i had a same blue model S matchbox, i also have a silver one, i burned the blue one :D the silver one is still on my shelf, had both for 8 years now :D
Nice start in the weekend with a prizza mike video ❤ i think the missmatch wheels also have something special 😊 i'm driving missmatch wheels on my w202 too.
My dad put 850k miles on his 1985 Celica Supra then sold it to some guy who got it up at least a million last I had heard. No idea what ultimately happened to that car. I despise those stupid wire clamps the Nissans of this era used. Besides the near universal leaking at the PS fluid reservoir, nearly all of mine are really rusty and getting them off intact is nearly impossible because they twist so easily... sometimes I can do it holding the "plate" with vice grips and soaking them down really good, but I usually end up using bolt cutters to get the damn things off instead. Gonna suck if the city comes by and redoes the curbs this summer!
To elaborate, I welded it on, drilled a hole for the stud to pass through then used some spacers from Home Depot to position it properly. Feels nice and notchy and never have to deal with it again lol

23:10 the rattle is probably the exhaust shield coming off on the cats. The bolts always rustout and break leaving the shield dangling and rattling

The slots are designed to create friction in the ongoing direction. So if you put it on the wrong side, it's going to not create as much friction.
