M103 e260 cut dead on the highway. Was pumping fuel, but Indy weighed up the fact reverse gear had also gone (I always drove forwards) and advised it's game over. Wish he had had your nouse.
Mine had a curious failure; the intake filter had rotted and a bit of the material went to the fuel pressure regulator an reduced the line to 3 bar! I was lucky to disassemble the regulator and clean it with WD40 through it's holes, making it raise to 6 bar again!
Hi Vini. I got a 300SL , is it the same or similar to the V8. Is it fairly straightforward to open it up and clean etc. ? Appreciate your feedback
@@donjohnson4368 Hi Don! I've removed the regulator to apply the spray but dud not disassebled or opened it, just inserted the pipe in the three holes ans sprayed several times to allow the particles to be washed away. It's working fine since then 👍🏻

I have a 1985 380SL the is a no start, that is getting fuel to the fuel distributor but not out to the injectors. We have spark and replaced the OVL relay. The filter going in was a little dirty and we cleaned it. Any suggestions?
Which oring need to be replaced when distributor leaks fuel gas into mixer box? The one on shaft or in FD itself?
Guys is the regulator on the 6 cylinder the same , is it fairly straightforward to overhaul the unit, do o need any special tools or gauges?

But what is the remedy if one distributor port is sending too much fuel to a cylinder? I’ve been thinking I had a stuck valve, but after much fussing, I think there is an issue at the distributor (I rebuilt it).
