didnt know i needed this
I think Quentin would take a part as he always does. But. He would probably choose to be killed immediately. And Wu needs some over dramatization. Like afro Samurai.
If anyone thinks they can tell Tarantino what to make you're fucking out of your minds! Dude does what HE wants to do. It's always perfection. He's gonna make what he wants to make, when he wants to make it. Plus it's gonna be his last movie. Ever. Let's just chill and wait and see. There are plenty of directors who could make that movie. Mayyyybe even RZA makes a debut and does it himself, with help. 🤞
Nah he’s too busy hangin out with zionists in Tel Aviv
GZA and Joe would be a top episode
THE SAGA CONTINUES...
WU-TANG...WU-TANG 🙌
I'm the Osiris of this shit.
I bomb atomically
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HOW ROGAN GAVE HIS UTMOST RESPECT TO THESE GUYS........THEYVE ALWAYS BEEN MY ABSOLTE FAVORUTE FROM ANY AND ALL ERAS OF HIP HOP
Raekwon!!! Purple tape still one of my top albums. Can't believe Joe and Raekwon know each other!!
Illmatic and the purple tape are my favorites
The 90s were the BOOM BAP EVERY BODY PAY ATTENTION ERA!!!!!!!! BUT.... dont forget where we came from

I saw this pop up and said out loud “Raekwon the chef?!” This is gonna be good
SAME!!!!! DOPE AF!
“RZA made a deal with the deviI for the right reasons” - Raekwon
Interesting selection of words 👀
I knew Joe couldn’t go without talking about hunting elk 😂
Joe always has these pet interests that he has to talk about in every interview 😂. Man went from psychedelic drugs/weed, BJJ, TRT and now elk hunting.
I love how Rae gets more and more respect for Joe as the interview goes on and he realizes how big of a hip-hop head Joe is. I noticed years ago how much Joe really loves real hip-hop, he has pretty damn good taste and knows his stuff.
This episode just came out of nowhere, this is why I love this podcast. I remember being surprised like this when the Vinny Paz episode dropped.
Yes, a very pleasant surprise indeed. But go back a few episodes and notice Joe was wearing the classic Wu Tshirt. A subtle hint of things to come.
Joe Rogan and Raekwon chilling and listening to Kool G Rap and Geto Boys is pure gold, quality content 🙏🏾💜
I know the youth these days hate to hear it, but damn, I miss those days, '80's and '90's were a time like no other. Just a raw period of time, the "pre-tech" era where music reigned king. The nostalgia listening to Raekwon is real heavy!
It's awesome to see a legend be humble about being a legend.
Joe being a fan of hip hop and knowing his ish is priceless 😂😂😂😂 oh so that’s how we starting 2025 Joe I love we need more interviews like this 🔥
Joes knows his stuff .get more of the 90s hip hop legends on .
Would love to see Slick Rick at the JRE.
@ yes mate 👌🏻 Rakim or Scarface would be great also
Wow, props to Joe for knowing about Death Threat, I play that song for hip-hop heads all the time. A hidden gem
Not even halfway through, this pod is too good
54 years old, I will never forget how dope the 90's were. So many Gen Z kids are getting hip to the 90's from The Smiths to Wu Tang to PE and NWA.
Public Enemy #1
I got hooked when some dude said listen to this cassette. It was Ice Cube's "No Vaseline", then it was Biggie.
KRS-One would be a wild guest to get on, He would have tons of intelligent topics to discuss
nah theyd just constantly talk over each other until either joe tells him to leave, or krs walks off
Warum sollte er einen linksradikalen einladen?
That episode will be more than 4 hours long
A legend but his interviews are trash, respectfully.
"Me and the Rza connect blow a fuse you loose, half azz crew's get demolished and bruised... Peace to the legend Raekwon, Wu Tang Clan the Greatest hip hop group to ever do it
That voice! Raekwon could read the phone book and put a beat under it and it'd go platinum.
Thought the same so smooth. He should do voiceovers.
@@richspizzapartydefinitely!
He just......"you know you know umm it was like"..he does not speak well..period .HOWEVER he is one of nine that took hip-hop to a new level..they were the first nineman to get that big ..they slaughtered the music biz
Tomorrow’s my English proficiency test, and I swear I won’t let you down Joey.
from Nepal
Your typing needs some work
Only Built for Cuban Linx... absolutely no skips.
set it and forget it type album one of the goats!
NONE!
Joe can sit down with anybody and give us a great interview
Joe is now 🐐 status
Rae and Joe? What a mix of a convo combo. We need Ghost on the show. Wu Tang forever.
Nah mean

@@BlastedOffRawPuerh88 squash the beef on JRE lol.
Here for Wes Huff. But Wu Tang is forever!

@@alphaa2010begging gets you nowhere
Wu tang forever!!!!
Meet me at the Diddy pawty
Great interview Raekwon is a genuine dude only built 4 cuban lynx is all time Hip Hop classic. one of the greatest albums.
White letters , PURPLE TAPE.......
Absolute classic
An interview with Project Pat would be a great conversation.
💯 people sleep on Pat but in all honesty for me he’s easily in my top 10! I’ve got a Pat song on every one of my different playlists.
No it wouldn't
It's the most starstruck I've ever seen Joe be. That's cool!
There was a 4-5 year stretch where RZA was at a producing apex. Every single beat was gold. Only built 4 Cuban linx was maybe his finest.
I think Liquid Swords was the peak for Rza's production
@@eb3005thats way too early to be his peak bro. Peak was iron flag maybe or the W
2nd only to Iron Man!!
@@joepowell7637lol that’s a VERY unpopular opinion. His peak ended before Wu Tang Forever in 1997
I’ll be the guy who thinks Tical was the best produced of that era lol
Joe said it High Quality music in the 90s
Decks verse on Triumph is hands down the greatest verse ever.
Facts. In my opinion deck was the most lyrical
Deck is an unbelievable word Smith. Sparring minds with gza is a great one as a showcase of his skill.
100%
Yes, he bombs atomically.
Never clicked a JRE YT link faster in my life lol.
Facts
Rogan couldve got RZA or Method Man but he has so Much knowledge that he chose the Chef. Respect
Red and Meth would be a classic. I'd love to hear their stories!
RZA has been on before with Donnell Rawlings
Ok
Take a shot for every time Joe says band 😂
I caught that immediately and laughed. I never noticed how some people say band instead of group or crew.
Thought the same they don’t play instruments
Take a shot for everyone Chef gave him props.
They banded together doesn't that make them a band?
@@coreyevensen6347 So why he get ninety, and we only get ten percent?
My two loves comedy and hip hop have came together in the best way . I knew Joe knew a little about hip hop but it was nice to hear how much he actually knew .
The purple tape is one of my favorites.Rainy dayz.
"My man is going insane" then the violins🎻
BLUE RASPBERRY is one of the most underrated female vocalists of our time!!!!!! … I think she was talking about RZA & how he did that beat cause it was INSAAANE like Crazy Eddie!!!
Guillotine is my fav off that tape, INS goes hard on the 1st verse as he always does
R.I.P Ol’ Dirty Bastard. The realist of them all. 👊🙏
This episode is the shit. Raekwon is an OG
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Joe is a Legend for this Raekwon interview! Much love and respect!!
