      Thank you, your grandmother must be a very kind person, she loves life and loves beauty. I think that although you have not created beautiful works with your grandmother, I think we still have the opportunity to leave a good memory for our loved ones. I also miss my grandmother. 🙏

      You should still make it in her honor. That's what I'm going to do. My grandma just passed this last November. I preserved her flowers from the funeral and I want to make something like this for her to put next to her picture.

    • @corecollapse4726

      As CP already said - You can still do this in her memory! I know your comment is a year old now, but you can still try it if you already haven't. I plan on making something similar, again with some flowers from my Nana's funeral. She passed on Feb 13th but flowers were one of her joys in life, she always had a very colourful garden, so flowers are something that I associate with her.

    Why did you mix the resin at 120g to 40g hardening agent? The epoxy resin you list (sold from Amazon) in the material list lists a 1-to-1 volumetric mixing ratio which should have been closer to 1 to 1 per weight (actually I carefully measured it in a lab to be 0.85-to1.00 hardener to resin per weight mixing ratio, not even close to the 1-to-3 you used in this video). Were you trying to make the final product softer or were you using a totally different brand than in your material list?

  • @electricbrain1736

    How do you get bubbles out.... Please answer this one... Why does my Epoxy get hard in one hour... Is it that my scale is faulty.... Resulting in more hardener?.... How long did this mixture takes to cure... Did you wait for bubbles to escape before pouring into mould... Or you pour with the bubbles and have it pop as itSeat to cure in the mould

    I have read you have to seal dried flowers, but I did not see you use that step and I watched you dry your own flower with the silica gel..don't you get yellowing of the resin?

    • @BuzzingFish
      @BuzzingFish  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This kind of dried flower only needs to be hung upside down to dry. It will not use silica desiccant. That kind of desiccant makes dry roses very well. Good quality resin is not easy to turn yellow. 😉💕

    Hi there! What did you use to dry the flowers? I just dried a purple rose in the over with silica gel drying crystals and it took away almost all of the color. I was hoping there was a better way to retain the color.

    • @BuzzingFish
      @BuzzingFish  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, how long do you put the flowers in the silica desiccant? If the temperature is high, try to reduce the time, up to 2 days. You can also use a microwave oven with a desiccant. It takes only 3 minutes for the fire to dry, so you can save the color of the flower well, but you still need to make multiple times to have more experience. 😊

    nice video, but be careful with the craft knife! I was expecting it to slip and slice into you at any moment. Remember, always cut towards your chum, not your thumb!

      In the description of the video there is a list of materials, and a link to purchase. You can search "super clear resin" at Amazon, generally, the resin will be sold together with the hardener. 😊 You can search for "resin kits" at Amazon and buy a lot of materials for resin work. 😊

    do you buy those flowers or where are you getting them from? im looking for very small flowers like yours but i can't find anything, only artificial ones

    • @BuzzingFish
      @BuzzingFish  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I buy dried flowers from the flower shop. This flower is called Gypsophila paniculata. If you can't find the dried flowers you need, you can try to make your own dried flowers. You can watch this video (th-cam.com/video/Oj3y8QsuIak/w-d-xo.html ), I use a silica desiccant in the video. 😊

    The mold does not stick to the resin. Is that greased or silicon?

    • @BuzzingFish
      @BuzzingFish  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because the mold is very smooth, the resin and mold will not stick together, but you can also spray some release agent to make it easier to demould. 😉
