Love, !ove, love the wall art. It really works. Next I am sorry that you encountered that occasion of grief. As women we grieve a lot. Best thing is live each day to the fullest, we don't get do overs. And love what you do and who you do it with. Alexa on the bicep. 🌺🌞🍎
The piece looks fabulous so in harmony with the curves of the lamp ... your flat looks loved, cared for with each piece thoughtfully purchased then placed. I was married for 15 years, deliberately child-free but am delighted to be an auntie to the children of my two sisters ... aunties can be so cool & the nephews/niece will tell you things they do not want their parents to know & will listen to your loving advice ...
I wasn't sold on the wall art until I saw it mounted on the wall. It looks PERFECT there, I love it and it finishes your living space off perfectly. 😍😍
Many people here found the right words to say. I will just send you a heartfelt hug, wish you safe travels, and do some fun things out there! The art is perfect. It speaks of fresh ideas and expansion. We can all use a bit of that vibe, I think. The pandemic left us with some dark corners in our psyches, filling our homes with things of fresh vision can be uplifting.
Gail, your feelings are totally valid. Time marches on so fast. One of my friends passed away unexpectedly 3 days ago and I had seen her on June 1 the day I went to another friend’s funeral. So, yes, two friends in a couple of weeks. I am still in shock. You are brave and good. I hope you enjoy your apartment and it feels like home when you return from your trips. Hugs ❣️
Your found art is pretty perfect for your space. Your vision was spot on. As for your emotional breakdown, you’ve had a lot on your plate, and you have a lot going forward. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed, and to be honest I’ve found that a tearburst is both necessary and therapeutic in and of itself. Your mind and body needed that reset. It happened, and it helped, and that particular battle has been won.
Hi Gail! I love the art work…it’s perfect in your apartment which is shaping up beautifully. My daughter lost two babies before having my grandson who just turned 18. She was 35 when he was born and it was a high risk pregnancy. We put so much pressure on ourselves…work, decorating, having children, aging, etc…it’s relentless. Sometimes a good cry does help. Hugs for you from one Jersey Girl to another! 💗
First time coming across your channel. 1. Love your living room. 2. That art piece looks fabulous. Perfect color choice. 3. I love that you took the time to talk to us about what you were going thru emotionally. A lot of you tube is just fake fairy tale lives.
Nice vlog Gail! You’ve had several compassionate and empathetic comments in regards to your two day emotional “event”.. so mine will be the comment that is unlike the others! Personally I get terribly annoyed by people that chew loud AND I cannot tolerate loud motorcycles or cars/trucks that startle the stuffing out of me! But I can see by your demeanor and how you present yourself of camera, that you are laid back and chill, so for you that must’ve been uneasy to feel so “triggered!” Alas, the mood has passed and all is copacetic once again! The art piece is perfection in your decor! You have such a good eye for style and design I think you could have a new career in home interior consulting. Or shopping for others! Can you imagine the cost of something that large were you to buy it? What an awesome find. I hope you can enjoy the upcoming week not feeling any pressure to do “apartment stuff” unless you want to, of course! Good luck with writing the toast to the bride and groom. I’m sure it will be great as your speaking voice is very pleasant and I know you’ll find the right words for a bestie!
Thank you for sharing. Our paths sometimes includes potholes…it’s to be expected. Take the time to digest, to feel it, to come back from it. It’s important to think it through and to realize that giving your mental & emotional health some intervention and attention is very healthy. Thank you for sharing. 😘
Gail, I have to say that when your video popped up, I smiled and said, "Oh there's Gail." I felt all happy and stuff. So, thank you. I am sorry you were having a rough week. If it's any conciliation, I had a week from hell too and was shedding tears as well. Life just felt heavy for a bit. This week is starting out better as I got to see your face today and see your lovely new art piece. Chin up girl. You're a rockstar!! ☺
I have gone through great sadness when a few of my aunts and uncles passed away . I felt very lost and I found long walks and a chat with friends helped me get through it. . I hope your doing better
Recognizing you are having an off few days is the first stage, a good cry is never a bad thing, and self care is key! Hope this week is better for you Gail❣️
Gail your apartment is a dream, I love everything about it, your new wall art has come up so well, you have a great eye for decorating. No need to rush decorating decisions on your other spaces, just live in and enjoy what you’ve accomplished so far for a bit, your decorating mojo will return in time. Hope you are having better days, life is full of ups and downs. Your trips will bring you some joy and relaxation. Xx
Love the art piece. The color is perfect. What a wonderful find. It looks like it has always belonged there. I think that no matter what age we are, we all reach those moments when stress, expectations (ours & others), work load, time pressure…oh yeah I already said stress! lol Well, it does reach a tipping point. I’m 66. Going through menopause. I’m cycling 2xs a month now & my normally pretty stable emotional balance has been a roller coaster ride. I relate to being highly irritated by things I normally shrug off. So exasperating. When I feel like crying, throwing something, screaming…I seclude myself & escape in a movie, a book, doing something creative. Just as you did. After a bit I come back & find I can analyze my emotional state & thought processes. So, reading the comments & listening to your experience, I’d say we all face it & at any age. We are all in good company with one another. My faith helps me a lot. My best friend is a great listener. Sometimes just voicing it out loud, as you did with us, or noting it in a journal is enough to clear the emotional fog. Hang in there. You can’t see us but you’re in our thoughts & prayers.
The exact same thing happened to me this week! Re: crying, everything bothering me. I’m also contemplating freezing my eggs through work. I’m 30F in Brooklyn. All the feels 🥲
A sponsor!!!!! Wonderful. You put what you were feeling into words easy to understand and resonate with. It helps to know that others go through the same feelings. I call them the ups and downs of life.
I felt sad on Sunday without any particular reason. Sometimes work, life, problems get too much for your brain to handle and I guess it reacts with random emotions so you stop and reset. I always try to focus on all the good stuff in my life and what I am grateful for and most times it gets me out of it and I feel ok. 😊 love the piece of art. I would have totally taken that home as well. It looks so good!
Dear Gail, I initially had doubts about the art work, but the painted and mounted piece looks great over your sofa. I remember that a popular 70's movie, An Unmarried Woman, ends with the title character lugging a huge painting along the sidewalks of NYC. Sorry that you have had a tough few days. I already think of you as a friend, and, from just reading some of the earlier comments, you have developed a very caring community. Wishing you better days ahead and safe travels.
The art looks fabulous, what an awesome find. I totally relate about the feeling of life passing by too quickly and mortality coming at you all of a sudden. Keep on keeping on ❤ also.. you’re in fabulous shape, would love to hear you talk about fitness etc in another video if that’s cool with you 😊
Stunning! Wow, that piece is perfect! Your wall is amazing now, and with that lamp next to it! How are the circles meaningful to you? No worries on the short "split-apart" (my Mary Kay rep called it that). We all get 'em and for much longer than a minute! Wise of you to get the help you needed. Take care of you. ❤
Thank you so much! It's funny, I haven't realized til now how many circles are now in my living room -- I feel they balance the sharp edges of my area rug and furniture!
I went through fertility treatments. I had “undiagnosed” fertility issues, which means I should have gotten pregnant but didn’t. I was in my 30’s then. My doctor told me that women can have issues at any age. I know eggs age and risks go up. Now I have three grown daughters that came about through IVF. I am so grateful that it worked for me. Yes, we looked into adopting, but there are many reasons it didn’t happen. I guess I’m just trying to say don’t let the age thing get you down. I know people who have had healthy babies into their forties. Everyone is different.
Life can be hard sometimes . And like another poster said, we can put a lot of pressure on ourselves. And although your best friend’s wedding is a great thing, that milestone, combined with the seminar, can turn into something that feels like a lack or a comparison (hopefully I’m not putting words in your mouth). It often helps to acknowledge and accept what we’re feeling and cry it out. Hugs to you and good luck with your travels!
It's a vibe! 🤩Very mid mod abstract!! ... And I really appreciate your openness. I was just talking to some of my friends tonight about coming to terms with your mortality as we mature. We all have our moments and that's ok.😌
Dear Gail! I understand what you felt, sometimes it is overwhelming, that is why having your space, decorating it, making it a temple of peace and harmony, where you can be comfortable is essential. I was looking forward to your next video, I really like your decorating style, you have done an excellent job, you have inspired me a lot to make certain changes in my house. Thank you for continuing to share a little of your life, I'm happy to have found your channel.
Love that you painted the art pice in a non screaming colour, just let the shapes speak. 💟 Think this was the most natural better help ad I have seen. What you said, sometimes beeing made aware of time passing makes me said (that other what if life). Also love that you used a normal coffe maker non of that pod thing 😊
Gail just know that we all have times that we feel overwhelmed and we try to tackle them alone, it’s ok to discuss them with someone you trust if you can’t conquer them on your own, or like you said a Good Cry can do wonders to settle your emotions. Your new art piece is just what your empty wall needed, and the best part is that it was Free! I so enjoy your videos every week and I am a 72 year old woman! I have always wanted to visit New York and your videos let me do that and also to know what it takes to live in New York. Boy do I take simple things for granted, like you having to take the subway just get paint, instead of hopping in my car and driving to the paint store! Honestly though it makes your life seem so free and thrilling!!
Sending 💓💓💓 Also have you seen Tisha S.' videos? She lives in the city too and does vlogs. Her most recent video also talks about a subject you brought up in this vlog.
art looks great! good eye....hang in there....life is long...hopefully....enjoy where you are....don't get too far ahead....life is full of wonderful surprises....like that piece of art....:)
Your place is really nice and I love the unique wall art. I wish you would have given more of a tour of your place. (Perhaps that is in another video.) I am new to your channel and just clicked on it because of the title. In any case, the piece looks great there. (I didn't watch the middle portion--sorry. I thought it was more of an apartment decorating thing.) Best wishes to you though.
Love the Art Piece Gail I tell everyone this, one day at a time your doing just fine it is ok to have a good cry and like you said you felt better it works ❤❤❤❤
My book to you lol : Where do I begin? You are truly beautiful, kind, and from what I see, an empathetic and caring young lady, deeply loved by your family and friends. Discovering your channel has been a blessing for me. I want to affirm that your feelings are completely valid, darling. You are young, healthy, and athletic. Always strive to maintain a positive outlook, cherishing the thought of having your children and your soulmate. I understand your concerns about getting older, these medical meeting can indeed be overwhelming and sometimes lead to distressing thought spirals. However, I am confident that you will be just fine when the time comes. I had my son at 21, and my career flourished. Raising him alone was a challenge, and then 19 years later, I had my daughter-I was almost 40. It may seem crazy, but it was my journey. I was saddened to see how this has affected you. I'm thrilled to hear that you’re visiting the Pacific Northwest. I live in Oregon and I’m certain you’ll love it here! If your travels bring you to Southern Oregon, I live in the forest on Mt. Ashland, right on the Pacific Crest Trail. We have a beautiful campground with hot showers, hiking, and mountain biking. Our property spans 121 acres, close to the ski resort at an elevation of 5800 feet. It’s a stunning place where we’ve had plenty of fun, although we do need to escape the heavy snow in winter due to my partner’s treatments. Have a safe trip, and please let me know which parts of Oregon you’ll be visiting. Thank you for your support; you are a complete doll, and I'm glad you reached out to Better Help. Remember that God is always with you! Girl…..that piece of art you found in NYC-how exciting! It looks amazing and can be easily refreshed with a new color if you ever wish to. Lastly, Gail, my partner’s treatment has caused him tremors, which is has been quite frightening for me 🙏🏼🙏🏼🥺 Take care and stay blessed.🧡🧡🧡🙋🏻♀️
Thank you for your thoughtful response, Susan ♥️ I will certainly keep you all updated with my upcoming travels! I hope your partners tremors subside soon ♥️
Go you for your introspection and honesty- you are doing great and being real is the only way to be! I love your art find- was it an art piece or something now turned art? What is it made of? Anyway keep on keeping on right?
Thank you so much 🫶 and it’s made of solid wood! I wasn’t sure what it was when I saw it (found outside of a daycare) - however a fellow commenter found that was actually a mirror! www.urbanoutfitters.com/shop/isobel-floor-mirror
The wall art is perfect! I feel for you regarding the years slipping away, although I don't think you need worry too much just yet. It took us five years to get pregnant with our eldest daughter, and then the fertility drug for our second. I was 31 and 34. I have a niece who had her husband to be call off the wedding, and as she thought her time was slipping away, went it alone with artificial insemination. She's never married but has a teenage daughter now. I guess I'm trying to say look at the positives and try not to let things get you down too much. And yes, therapy can be brilliant. Good luck, whatever you decide. xx
Baskets...good idea for the fridge!..IMHO I would put another sheer on the lower half of that Bedroom window just for the sake of privacy & peeping toms!!!! You can use a tension rod to hold it in. It will still let light in. I have a 3yr. old IVF grand daughter from my single daughter She was 45yrs. when she started AND went overseas to do it....it's about 1/3 the price than having it done in the U.S. The clinic in Athens, GR is where has a high sucess rate over other European countries & that's were the gals wind up going if it's not happening in their countries or were told no.
Love, !ove, love the wall art. It really works. Next I am sorry that you encountered that occasion of grief. As women we grieve a lot. Best thing is live each day to the fullest, we don't get do overs. And love what you do and who you do it with. Alexa on the bicep. 🌺🌞🍎

I can't imagine anything else fitting as well as that piece. It's like it was made specifically for that spot.
Ugh, right?! I think so too
That art piece fits your place SO perfectly!
I think so too!! Thank you!

Nice vlog Gail!
You’ve had several compassionate and empathetic comments in regards to your two day emotional “event”.. so mine will be the comment that is unlike the others!

UGH... that art piece is such a great find! I LOVE it. How could anyone part with that? You did an awesome job sprucing it up! So cute.

Thanks for being real....I love your vlog so much.
So happy to hear it - thank you for watching 🫶
Said a prayer for peace for you. The art is super cool! Your helper was very handsome.
That's very kind♥️
Thank you for sharing.
Our paths sometimes includes potholes…it’s to be expected. Take the time to digest, to feel it, to come back from it.
It’s important to think it through and to realize that giving your mental & emotional health some intervention and attention is very healthy.
Thank you for sharing. 😘
Thank you for this ♥️
Love that wall art!! So glad you were able to safe it and make it even nicer.
Thank you ☺️☺️
Gail, I have to say that when your video popped up, I smiled and said, "Oh there's Gail." I felt all happy and stuff. So, thank you. I am sorry you were having a rough week. The wall art works so well in your space!
Thank you!
That is the coolest piece of wall art you found. It looks amazing.
Thank you so much!! ☺️
The Carol King alum on the wall is my favorite alum of all time :)
It's the best!
I have gone through great sadness when a few of my aunts and uncles passed away . I felt very lost and I found long walks and a chat with friends helped me get through it. . I hope your doing better

What a cool find! So glad you shared that vulnerable moment. It actually really helped me.Thank you.

Love the wall. Keep your chin up and yes a good cry is good for the soul.

Totally incredible. That’s vision and a sweet find!
Ugh thank you 🥲
Love the art piece. The color is perfect. What a wonderful find. It looks like it has always belonged there.
I think that no matter what age we are, we all reach those moments when stress, expectations (ours & others), work load, time pressure…oh yeah I already said stress! lol
Well, it does reach a tipping point.

Girl you are not alone, I am going through menopause and uggg I have weeks where I feel like poo. I love love the art piece!! So awesome!! ❤
Oooof I can't imagine! Hope you it through it!!
Counseling has helped with those feeling of life passing me by so quickly. I have to stay present and in the moment, so I can treasure each moment. ❤️

Oh boy, seems like we are on a very similar boat -- hope you're doing okay!
Nice! The piece enhances the room!
Thank you!
Gail, you have an awesome style. Your apartment is cozy and the wall art was a cool find. Sending hugs your way. Take care
🤗
Wall art looks great! It looks like the ‘Urban Outfitters Isobel floor mirror’ sans mirror. Whatever the case, it looks great 😍
Oh wow!!! I think this is that minus the mirror!
Fabulous + Awesome job Gail. 💯🤑💰👏🥇✅ I like the image of it beautiful. You do a tremendous occupation of decorating around your crib.
Thank you so much!
A sponsor!!!!! Wonderful. You put what you were feeling into words easy to understand and resonate with. It helps to know that others go through the same feelings. I call them the ups and downs of life.
Indeed 🙂 thank you for watching!
I felt sad on Sunday without any particular reason. Sometimes work, life, problems get too much for your brain to handle and I guess it reacts with random emotions so you stop and reset. Thank you so much, Judy 🫶 funny enough, it's a very common thing to see people lugging massive objects around these NYC streets 😅
your new wall art is stunning...jus perfect!!!
Thank you so much!!
I have to say, I was skeptical about this piece of art a few weeks ago, but it looks great, congrats 😊
Honestly, I had doubt creep in too😅
I love the new art over your couch.😊

That art piece is an excellent find for that space and the color is great. I love it

No worries on the short "split-apart" (my Mary Kay rep called it that). We all get 'em and for much longer than a minute! Wise of you to get the help you needed. Take care of you. ❤

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment♥️
The wall art looks great! Hope you’re feeling better. Glad you could recognize sometimes it’s good to cry it out & feel the feelings
Thank you ♥️
I love your new wall art. It looks very cool and to me, almost a metaphor of perhaps your current thoughts.
That’s what a few people have been saying! Funny, it was not intentional 🤷🏼♀️
It's a vibe! 🤩Very mid mod abstract!! ... And I really appreciate your openness. I was just talking to some of my friends tonight about coming to terms with your mortality as we mature. We all have our moments and that's ok.😌
Moments that make us human!

Glad you enjoyed it!

I love the aesthetic of your tone on tone wall art - Ironically, I'm seeing egg shapes!🥚🥚

Also have you seen Tisha S.' videos? She lives in the city too and does vlogs. Her most recent video also talks about a subject you brought up in this vlog.
Thank you ♥️ I do watch her videos and I saw that! So funny that we both have similar subjects on our minds

Love the wall art. Great find!
Thank you, Kathy!
Thank you for watching! I’ll certainly do an updated tour soon

Thank you so much!
I love painting walls! I will be vlogging the process as well. Glad that I came across your channel!
Ahh enjoy!
Lastly, Gail, my partner’s treatment has caused him tremors, which is has been quite frightening for me 🙏🏼🙏🏼🥺
Take care and stay blessed.🧡🧡🧡🙋🏻♀️
Thank you for your thoughtful response, Susan ♥️ I will certainly keep you all updated with my upcoming travels! I hope your partners tremors subside soon ♥️
@@theregoesgail 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️ of course

Thank you!! And All Modern
I love it !!!
That piece looks really good!
🥰🥰🥰

Good job on your decorating your apartments
Thank you!
Love the art.
Thank you!
Artwork looks terrific!
Thank you so much!
Good luck, whatever you decide. xx
Thank you so much for sharing ♥️ It's true, we all pave our own way
Baskets...good idea for the fridge!..IMHO I would put another sheer on the lower half of that Bedroom window just for the sake of privacy & peeping toms!!!!
Thank you for sharing and congrats on your grand daughter!
WOW!! LOVE IT!!!
Yay!!! Me too!!
that really looks good!!!!!
🥰
What is the wall art made of? Looks fabulous!
It’s solid wood!
very nice!!
Thank you!
I think it’s interesting that the IVF video from work and your new art (which I like) are both about eggs. 🥰
It is funny how that happened
It looks amazing 🎉
Thank you!☺️
Love it
