    I just followed along with your video and did a mold of a bear skull I had. It was my first time to make a mold, and it came out amazing! Thank you for such a great video and your guidance! I also love the epoxy dough hard shell material… what strange, fun stuff!

    This is a high complexity mold 😮. Milo, your skill and technical knowledge is admirable 🙌. It's clear that there are no limits to Smooth-on products ⭐. Thank you very much Milo for sharing your techniques with us. I'd like you to make a video where you show us the use of rigid materials such as the Smooth-Cast 380, 385 and the EpoxAcast line.

    Excellent video! Odd question, if I wanted to return the skull to the wild after making a mold, would the materials (such as the wax used to seal up the skull) have a negative effect on the surrounding environment?

    • @smoothon
      @smoothon  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, you will want to fully clean the wax off the piece fully before returning it to the wild. If you reach out to our technical support team they can help you find the right materials for your project. www.smooth-on.com/support/ticket/add/agree/

    Free-form Air is a lot of fun, but the fumes give me a headache. Are there any alternatives for people sensitive to chemicals?

    Thank you for this video series!
    I'm just wondering why Sorta Clear 12 was used for the jaw mould instead of Dragon Skin 10 NV, as they are similar in durometer.

    • @smoothon
      @smoothon  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dragon Skin 10NV was used because it has a slightly lower durometer than the Sorta Clear 12.

    Hello, your tutorial is very detailed, so that I can follow your steps as a beginner. Thank you very much for your video, which made me learn knowledge. In addition, I would like to ask you a question: if I want Make a model of a dinosaur skull. Its structure is different from that of a bear. Its upper jaw has a left and right through cavity. If the mold is made into upper and lower parts, there will be a horizontal line locked. May I ask this question? How to solve it, or can you make a video to reproduce a dinosaur skull.

    Did you need to put the product in a vacuum chamber to remove air bubbles before you poured it? Or does the product have a low amount of air bubbles to deal with and they won't show in the cast of the subject.

    • @smoothon
      @smoothon  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some silicone rubber does require vacuuming, check the technical bulletin for the material.
