Five things we LOVE and HATE about the 2024 Polaris Xpedition XP 1000!

  • We finally got our hands on the 2-seat Polaris Xpedition XP 1000! The XP 1000 forgoes the SUV-style trunk for a rear tilting bed and makes do with two seats instead of four. We’ve reviewed the high-price Xpedition ADV models, but is the XP 1000 just as good?

it's certainly a premium SXS with a higher than average price point, I like it and it really showcases the best in the industry, the interior is a nice place to be, especially if you happen to get soaking wet and need a warm place to dry out !

The price is high but by the time you take a xp general and add a full heated can and a 3 person bench or grab a northstar ranger and add high clearance a arms and shocks then you are right at the same amount. This machine needs very little of anything.

They are great but yes it takes alot of sound deadening!!!!

Its an amazing machine but the fit n finish on mine has been sub par. Leaky windshield and a noisey prop shaft at 5500 rpms. 3 windshields and another prop shaft later still not resolved

Polaris has the update for the clutch to help with the noise

Yes but you lose a little top end

@sam_rules76 they aren't built for speed. That's why they're so low geared. I would wanna go very fast in a 3k lb machine with shotty brakes any how!

@@sam_rules76mine still goes 69 with the new clutch.

Depends on your use. If you work a lot then I would go 1500 but if you are hitting g the trails then just would go xped. From what I’ve heard the 1500 transmission leaves a lot to be desired for trail riding.

Now if Polaris could only make a machine that holds up to actual use. Fit and finish they are light years ahead of everybody else. 😢

Something isn't correct with the key system on that rig, mine has 1 key that does everything (minus ignition). I agree with the noise, it's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. I have re-clutched mine and it's much better, but you shouldn't need to spend $500 to make it manageable.

I have a similar vehicle; it's a Jeep and it was cheaper than this.

I’m sorry, but this is super expensive, super loud in cab and in the end is a majority amount of moulded plastic. If it were street legal, then Polaris may have something here, but the noise is a major issue. Better to buy a mid size truck and you are one and done. I’m glad you closed the way you did, all true. Polaris, your target market is very small in comparison to the industry and I am sorry, but you are making probably 40 points on this…..good luck with the margin call.

    Nope won't spend 40K, I'd but a Jeep

Too many options and nice things. I can see Polaris going out of business in the near future... getting away from the base.

It is a nice rig ,but you can buy a small truck for the same cost, way over priced

Polaris is raggedy. My brand new ranger has had more trouble in 1 year and 2000 miles then my 15 year old f150 with 200,000 miles that goes the same places. I've had 2 brand new polaris in my life and I'll never make this mistake again especially for the outrageous price. Just buy a old jeep or samurai and save 30,000

      You're comparing a truck and a sxs🤦🏻‍♂️

Drive your Jeep down a trail at 40 mph. I don't watch Jeep reviews and complain they they cost 60k when I could just buy used Polaris Ranger. 😂
