Legacy car brands are doing much better than BYD. If you take China market out of equation, BYD is none excitant. As one who test drove Han, Seal and Atto 3, they all are mediocre at best. The tech is just for shows, and it's nowhere near legacy cars, the dynamics out of the straight line are bad. Materials are cheap and the range... Nowhere near the stated. So unless you are a big fan of the rotating screen (totally useless). Than look somewhere else.

I’d buy the car and charge it up as and when I can, when shopping etc as my complex can’t have PHEVS but I can use the petrol engine and charge up and and when

It’s a LHD vehicle not to UK spec, there to create advance interest in the car, that’s why it could not be taken out. And yes that is in MK.
