I wonder if the intention behind the solid ribs is to add weight with the intention of taming recoil? As a High Pheasant gun, the intention would surely be to shoot fairly potent game loads, rather than trap shells as used in the review? A fabulous pair of guns. Could you be tempted to review them again, this time at game? Great review of fab pair of guns👍👍 Thanks for posting!
I have the high pheasant 1 get it thin walled teagued, and hp steel proofed as I have and have the perfect gun,and a lot less expensive than buying the new model.
So why dont they make them in a 29 or 30 inch version Edward? Always thought 29/ 29.5 the way forward. It's a bit like going 3/8ths instead of half, do you really need it? I guess not.
Beautiful pair of guns , I think I could put up with extra weight of the barrels and the fact that no ventilation hinders the heat dissipation ,however the convenience of having a pair of guns halves the heat problem , just my humble opinion 🧐
Never ever in a lifetime of shooting have I ever heard a gun have an issue with heat haze or even mention it. Heat haze is normally visible if you stare across the top of a stationary object - like a hot tarmac road in summer. A shotgun is practically always on the move when shooting and any affect that heat haze generated by hot barrels is insignificant. There are many widely held misconceptions in shooting and this is one of them. Just because manufacturers have been making ventilated ribs for decades doesn't mean it was an essential part of gun manufacture. Of course, others will disagree even though this is basic physics and it's not easy to disagree with science.
based on what you have said would you be better with the mk 1 and have them teauged and hp steel proof that way you just buy the chokes your going to use cheers for the upload
You manage to ignore shooting Pheasants you shouldn’t be looking at the barrel but at the target so heat haze is not an issue! As usual comments from an average shooter are neither here nor there!
Nearly every sporting OU on the market is manufactured with a ventilated top rib to reduce heat haze. Are you telling me that everything single provincial gun marker is wrong?
good honest review appreciated
Thank you

This is a common decision for owners of the MK1

Double gunning does split the work between the two guns however that doesn’t apply if you are single gunning or having plus 100 or more shots a drive
Where is your cartridge bag from ? Looks decent
It is a kryptec range bag

What´s the difference between the MK60 and the MK70?
Fixed/multi choke respectively
@@davecowan860 That has been my understanding so far as well...but on the Miroku website all of the MK60´s appear to be multichoke.
@ May have been a recent change, always used to be the case! Wasn’t aware of any other differences back then.
