Nice! I must say that I recently built a console for a very similar boat...4 ft flat bottom, 19 ft 8", 32 " sides, Ocean going Oregon surf launch dory. Very similar console. 1/2" MDO, but edge fastened only, well countersunk. With epoxy wood flour fillets internally. Mine is a free standing, full walkaround console, barely big enough to accommodate the nfb steering unit and cable. and a minimal wind/spray shield, located slightly aft of center. No fiberglass on the exterior, just paint on the mdo cover. Only two seasons in, but to date, no problems at all, in spite of the sometimes extreme slamming it has taken. The boat is remarkably similar in planform, but fully ribbed at 14 1/2" ctrs, for open ocean ops. Weight is 870 lb, including the current 1988 30 hp jonnyrude. It scootavates divinely on that power and still rows nicely for easy surf launches. I love that old rebuild of a 1958 Oregon surf dory, and consider it 0 time, new after rebuild to modern, evolved standards. So similar to your build in planform it's uncanny.. In 36 more years it will be 100 yrs old. Next summer I intend to run it offshore 40 miles plus, catching albacore. Love the stable feel and power efficiency of a flat bottom boat......JE

That console is looking really nice. Are you just painting the interior or will you glass that too? Have a good week sir.

I don't know how to warn you that the glass is about to fall
